>killed shrieker (turns out he's easy)
>keep doing random missions until A team is ready to take on DD for my first time
>assemble them
>equip trinkets
>quit out of fear
w-welp

Never should have come here.

>that party
he looks kinda fukt desu

The Collector is such a jobber.
Unless he shows up on a low-level dungeon when you least expect it, and you don't have a healer, nor anyone with a stun move.

I retreated after this fight. Please tell me I did the right thing. For some fucking reason Acolytes and Madmen decided to spam only her with stress shit on my way to the boss

if you're there to do a boss and your healer gets that fucked, i'd say it's right to bail
your party seems janky as fuck though imo

>Hound's Harry in the Ruins
>Hound's Harry in general
>No cudgel
>No Guard Dog
Oh shit nigga what are you doin
I don't even wanna see your other skills.

not that guy but

>>Hound's Harry in general
i-its good against flesh
but yeah otherwise i wouldnt use it

Whilst the sale is still on is there anything remotely similar to DD on steam?

I need something else to stop it going stale so I'm tempted to just by every turn based game with some form of procedural gen

What do you think "In general" menas?
It's half-decent against a single boss.

haha you sure slapped that bitches ass
the weak should fear the strong amirite

I'm gonna start this game soon.
Any general tips?

Reminded.

I kinda want to get dankest dungeon, but i was wondering if the dlc is a meme or not

remind yourself

you probably only want to enable the big Crimson Curse DLC once you understand the game better, as it adds a new level of challenge/thinking

It's not. It generally lessons the experience of the game a bit. You can download it but don't toggle it on until after you've finished the vanilla game if you want the best experience.

In """""""""general"""""" he has 50 scouting, 40 surprise, no ambush shit and treats stress like no one else. You do realise that with such scouting you will have 9/10 times surprise on enemy? You have a lot to learn.

the whole game is a meme

the point is that it is a extraordinarily tough game what is actually means is if you don't have your shit settled on the first hour you will never get your shit settled because the game continues to turn the rng up a notch

the gameplay and the rng are not compatible but what amazes me is people have fun with it

not my money but this is the best case of "I play just to play" I've ever seen , it isn't fun it is pure rng bullshit no skills.

Hound's Harry has nothing to do with any of that.

Do you have reading comprehension issues?

The Collector is mostly there to punish greed by appearing to parties with backpacks full of gold and shit at the end of a run. but yeah, if you have stuns he's kinda lame

>i didn't have fun so no-one else is allowed to have fun

>Yfw

you have a lot to read you fucking retard

>i tried the game, got rekt and now i'm mad

>mfw jester

It's the right call, protect the healer at all costs. It happened to me, I thought I could pull through and then suddenly she suffers a heart attack from 200 stress.

He's fun with pic related

Doesn't that shit only work in the courtyard? I haven't done the DLC yet so I'm just curious.

Never put any thought into it but the trinket is a callback to his comic. Name and description.

unless it makes Finale magically good, he isnt worth much

>sperging this much over a simple mistake

Nope, the "Crimson Court" label just means it can be found in the DLC.
The attributes on the bottom are only active of the hero has the Crimson Curse
All the little barks are callbacks to the comic I think.
It makes Solo magically good, since the massive accuracy debuff becomes almost guaranteed. If you use it twice, the entire enemy crew becomes completely unable to hit a fucking unmoving wall for about 3 rounds. And thus it makes Finale good by extension.

>It makes Solo magically good, since the massive accuracy debuff becomes almost guaranteed. If you use it twice, the entire enemy crew becomes completely unable to hit a fucking unmoving wall for about 3 rounds. And thus it makes Finale good by extension.
I feel like an MaA can make your team impossible to it with dodges, and offer more besides that. Especially as riposte + dodge is a broken combo.
I haven't tried Jester enough since his nerf admittedly, but whenever I did it never went well.

>people called me out for being condescending and stupid at the same time
>s-spergs!

>to it
to hit*

The attribute at the bottom is the Set Bonus. It activates only if you wear both Crimson Court trinkets for a specific class. regardless if you're cursed or not.

Next thing you ll say those posts werent yours.

>Dissection kit+Bloody herbs

Holy shit someone else can do the stunning. Best girl is here to fucking dice shit up.

The dodge buff from Bolster is like 8 or 9 fully upgraded.
the ACC debuff from Solo is 18, and with Tyrant's Fingerbone it's pretty much guaranteed to land.
And after doing it, he can follow up with a huge attack that can hit the first three positions.
I'm not saying this makes Jester better than MaA, god fucking forbid. But it does make him a lot of fun to play.
Oh, my bad.

One of them was

if you really want to DICE some shit put crit trinkets on a POS1 Occultist in the cove. 30% crit here we GO

>occ gets eldritch hater+slayer

Welp, guess I know what I'm doing tonight. Thanks for the info.

I've been regularly using Occultists in the front since wyrd got buffed to be usable from any position, always loved the rank 2 Vestal with that one trinket set up and of course the flag man was great addition.

The only players who hide their healers in the back all the time are useless and vestigial

yup. It was also my $$$ party, with a PD , Antiquarian and Abom. Blight, stuns, health dodge for days, and the easiest siren since antiquarian always get controlled and she does no damage if you remove her plague.

>Eldritch Hater
>Eldritch Slayer
>Precise Striker
>On Guard
Someone's gonna die on the first turn, and it's not gonna be him

Thats the spirit.

Occultist is such a bro, outside of 0! bleed situations.

A occultbro with weakening curse and good debuff bonus vs swine king is also a dream.

Same principal on the prophet though guarding is preferable on that boss.

fucking snails.

>houndmaster in the cove

there's more than one reason why you got REMINDED that hard

That's a pretty autistic lineup.

I don't understand people who bring Occ as their primary healer.
First of all, if you keep him busy trying to keep everyone alive, he never gets time to kill shit, a thing he is surprisingly good at
Second, it only takes one green zero at a bad time to get someone killed. FFS, bring a vestal.

I started with CC and after clearing the first dungeon that spreads those blood gathering fuckos throughout the entire game I'm too scared to send Reynauld or Dismas out

I just wanted to level some of them, and the party got a name so I figured it should be fine. Also had a few other heroes stuck in the medical ward for even more diseases and correction therapies. I only keep one hero of each class.

If they get infected just give them the Dead Rat

i don,t exactly agree. I do use a primary occultist , but generally it's in reliable parties, where character have some self healing. I like him a lot with arbalest since he's speedy enough to mark for her while she can bandage to help him out.

>I only keep one hero of each class.
GET SOME MORE HEROES

>walk into long ruins
>first room is empty
>first hallway battle immediately after is the collector

Jesus Christ I just realized how strong Sway is.
If someone marks the Shieldbreaker, she can just Sway and soak up all their attacks.

I'm used to only have a roster of 4-6, 13 and more is too much for my brainlet to handle and grind up.

Not him but i rum him on pos 2 cause his stun is 2 good, also tanking trinkets

Is shieldbreaker really that viable? I feel like they can't do much unless they're in a very specific kind of party that either gets them marked or has a member that can mark targets for them.

Fuck occultists

make note of his Houndmaster's position on that screen

Except when they crit-heal a 34 on your DD Highwayman

>34

try the 60's with bandage

>Beat random encounter
>This is the loot I get
What, why?
Sway is the kind of ability that's really worth its weight in gold if the shieldwaifu is in danger. It's kinda situational, but absolutely amazing if you get it to work.

The point is to end fights before that becomes a green egg becomes a problem for the mission's success. I guess we can chalk it up to different playstyles, but I find that my choice of healer rarely has an effect on survival. It more comes down to who works best with whom. I prefer the Occultist's utility and marking to the Vestal's offensive skills in my favorite comps.

Healing is generally lower on my priorities than speed, killing them before they can kill you and or stress you.

Shes actually good versus prot enemies and shuffling
Fuck you le green zero man is a bro

Yes, even without marks things like Adder's Kiss and Expose gives her fuckload of damage.

The problem is she is very shuffle heavy so you need a position 1 hero who doesnt mind falling back to 2

Also I forgot one big thing: All of her class trinkets are very good

>it only takes one green zero
why are you only healing at death's door?

Git gud

Doesn't have to be at death's door
>Someone is getting low on health
>Okay better heal them
>0 (or anything below 5 really)
>[REND FOR THE NEW GOD]
>BLEED
>DEATHBLOW!

Because you're a cuck and your party is garbage.

>bring flagfag as my main healer one mission
>nothing EVER targets him, even while marked
>he has to manually bleed himself to half whenever someone needs to heal

>healing when you could crit the enemy instead
that's your own fault for relying on those heals

Can you repeat that, but without shitposting?

best bro and the dogo

How did you have enough items to accomplish that? Collector only shows when you're packing >65% items.

You need 4 full parties complete the dd.

>started listening to Lovecraft audiobooks while going on expeditions

>it's not impossible to die so it sucks
become better

I kind of want to try her out. Which is a good class that synergizes well with her back and forth positioning?

Reclaim until he is low enough to use redeem then, it isn't that hard, plus reclaim is a good skill if you don't need him to be putting out damage at the time. It stacks and continues after battles so when its maxed at 3 per turn it becomes really potent, especially if you stack it.

But that's my point. You can't rely on the heals.

I'm just saying, Occultist isn't nearly as good as a main healer as vestal. He's good to have as a backup for when things get rowdy, but I'd never make a party with only him as a healer.

then don't

create a situation where you can heal safely. it's almost like you gotta build a party that SYNNERGIZES

You can't rely on accuracy or dodge either yet plenty of people love the Leper and the GR. You can't rely on damage unless you meticulously check the damage range vs the enemies remaining health+prot. You can't even rely on speed without looking up all the enemies in a given dungeon an making sure everyone has at least 6 more speed than all the possible enemies. And speed is one of the more reliably useful stats.

you make it sound like you need a healer

Doggo and Arbalest both play well with the Occultist. Take a look at their skills

>Vestal cant pull, mark, debuff or do good damage
>Occ can do all of that and, while unreliable as fuck heal too
>and is shuffle friendly
>I don't understand people who bring Occ as their primary healer.

Because having two main healers is overkill plus you can backup other heroes in many other ways.

Also lets face it: Vestal is one of the most boring heroes in the game.

MaA, HWM another Shieldbreaker and the Flagellant. Another good thing about Serpent Sway is how allows you to stall if you need to heal.

A good simple team for her is Vestal/BH/SB/MaA

Can I get a quick rundown on the Abom? Since you're apparently not supposed to transform every fight, what good is his human form? All I get are dinky stun/blight moves (both of which could be boosted with the right trinkets, but seems like a waste of trinket spaces desu)

>0

Just remember user

overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer

>dinky
no, those moves are both good

His stun is great, one of the few blighters in the game so both his offensive man skills are nice in the middle. Self heal+stress heal makes it one of the better self heals in the game. You can transform him more than just when shit hits the fan. Once he is transformed he's the only one who takes stress damage every round so keep in mind that if you're managing stress well enough that transforming isn't just for shit hits the fan/boss fights
