My first run in Pathologic, as Daniil, around the time I realized I've murdered a family of six in front of their last child because they saw me stealing a slice of bread, I felt like things got insane quite thoroughly.

The company got bought by google or something like that. I'm pretty sure Candid itself was shut down.

It eventually died out, but it's clear that Twitter's throttling and banning bots are based off Candid's ideas.
I'm just glad that the main offenders got royally fucked from it.
TAA got cucked out of 10 grand, and Shillonfence has almost entirely withdrawn from the "community" after she got caught unironically filtering the words Harmful Opinions and Candid from her channels comments.

IPL made a post saying they are going to release an alpha/beta for the public, just like Hello Neighbor did, and we all know how Hello Neighbor turned out to be. It is without a doubt a decision forced by tinyBuild, since even the owner of TB has stated that they are orienting on twitch/YouTube audience. And then news about IPL delaying the release date and later even stating that the game is not even half finished and they are going to release it next year as early access. Few days ago they released an update blog where you can see that they did some progress, but it's nowhere near done as they previously stated. Fans are blindly praising them for everything they do, while backers are losing their shit seeing how Dybovskiy is fucking them over

The decision is not forced: it has been actually intended since the very beginning of the kickstarter, and TinyBuild merely recommended going through with it in a little less haphazarded fashion. Also: in the end, IPL clearly did not go through with it anyway. TB has virtually zero actual influence over direction of the game, they just handle marketing and propagation - they make a lot of shitty games, but they don't interfere with their studios.
Fans praise them for good reasons, and anyone who backed the project not expecting this shit is a COMPLETE AND UTTER RETARD and it serves him fucking right. It's fucking IPL, Jesus. What the fuck were you people expecting? Did you not know ANYTHING about the damn studio?
