It just wouldn't be Giant Bomb GOTY without Brad sticking Destiny in places it doesn't belong. Its almost tradition at this point.

I think it's really good, I think it's really fun, and I think the story is really good and fun.
Yesterday after finishing all GOTY deliberations, I sat down on my ass and started remembering what was sad about each game through those day and what I have learned about them.
10) Dread Daddy: You move to new house, you can date Daddies and trans Daddies. You can be Daddy or trans Daddy. You live with your daughter, you date other people. It was really good, story was really fun. There is Vampire character. Nothing else was said about this game, even Vinny's explanation was vague.
9)Tekken 7 - fantastic story for Mishima family, once again they are throwing themselves into Volcano. Ends with Akuma being behind everything. They hated Journalist way of story.
8) Night in the Woods - Alex, Ben and Jeff said game created story too realistic for them. Story made them remember their own young adulthood, which is fine. However there was nothing said about the game itself, just a few moments here and there, as well as main party vaguely.
7)Wolfenstein - had it's own category, were everyone explain how fucking great this game is in story and characters standpoint. Gameplay was really bad, but moments and story moved even me to want play this game.
6)Destiny 2 - I have no idea about that game. They've put it on the list, spoke 5 seconds how good shooting is and that's all. Destiny 1.5 in nutshell.
5)Cuphead - everyone was praising this game for everything. Nothing was said about the story. Nobody convinced me to buy it.
4)Mario, 2)Zelda - same as a cuphead. ALMOST ZERO GIVEN INFORMATION that could persuade me to be invest in Switch and those games.
3)Nier was one of the few that was explain multiple times its story. After Alex explained a lot what's going on I was sure to play it.
1)PUBG - game is still broken, but it's very fun. I understand this game is not for me, but they've put PUBG on first place, explained it was their Mario Maker this year and I understand this.
Not much was explained about games this year, it's disappointment.

A GotY should be something that you remember. Horizon may have been worth a 5/5 to Jeff at the time, but if he forgets about it by the end of the year then it clearly didn't make a big enough impact on him to be considered for GotY

Jeff knew which strings to pull for maximum chaos. He should have been way harsher on Zelda, though. I was disappointed it didn't go below 5.
