Who was in the right?
>Majestic 12
>UNATCO

stick with the prod
>he sided with anyone but Helios
That pimp who was teaching a whore some good manners was god damn right
AGENT ORANGE
>allowing your body to get cucked by an AI
Dark Ages is the true ending.
>getting cucked by a scheming chink instead
This user knows what's up
>Helios ending forces everyone to become one and live under a benevolent man-AI dictator
>Dark Age ending forces everyone back to pre-industrial anarchy because some Luddite tells you to.
Only the Illuminati ending are you not forcing anyone into anything, its only relative freedom, but the people, whether you consider them ignorant or not, are the people who choose to live that way. Its the most pro-democracy choice.
>pre-industrial because you turned off the internet
Please stop this meme.
...
>pre-industrial anarchy
Tong explains how civilization will still exist at the city-state level. Invisible War fails to represent this properly.
UNATCO takes........................................... payoffs!
morgan everett seems like a shady dude
>helios forces everyone to become a drone
>dark age just sets the clock back a couple of years
>illuminati has everett who caused the problems in the first place and keeps his mentor alive against his will and is a creepy dude
>Majestic 12
obviously evil
>UNATCO
a lot of good people, but manipulated by bad leaders
>NSF
opposite of the above: leaders with high ideals, but employed a lot of unscrupulous people
>Illuminati
shouldn't have been surprised that one of their own went power mad
>Helios
eye of the beholder
>Illuminati
>not forcing anyone into anything
>the people who choose to live that way
>most pro-democracy by choice
This must be bait
Nicolette herself says that if things had gone differently, you would be fighting against the Illuminati's control over the world instead of MJ12. They have the same goals, MJ12 was just more expedient and militant about it.
UNATCO and MJ12 are the same group. MJ12 is simply UNATCO with a higher clearance level.
this is the best song in the game, right?

It's alright

I get conflicting answers for this, you say its just the internet, yet the games make it sound like the whole power grid and all forms of communication and all stored data is lost, I know Daedalus\Helios code is supposed to be in near every piece of technology, and that without the Aquinas network these things wouldn't function or at least thats how the first game kinda implies it. Tong talks about living in villages and then IW shows nothing like that.
YOU REAVE NOW!
Anybody who says anybody but the NSF was right is a retard.
this track is just perfection.
fun to play the extended version and noodle a little electric violin on top
NSF is mostly thugs just looking for excuses to fight. Maybe the group has some noble goals, but they should focus on attacking UNATCO and the government, and not civilians. It's hard to sympathize with them when they blow up trains and take innocents hostage in hotels.
They're fighting a revolution against the most powerful government in the world, you're gonna have to break a few eggs to make an omelette.
>yet the games make it sound like the whole power grid
Bob Page makes it sound like that, and he's constantly lying throughout that entire end sequence to save his skin. Tong says that it will destroy the communication grid Aquinas which is basically the internet routed through Area 51. This may include telephone lines as well. Older forms of communication would still work like radio waves. I think that bit about villages is just badly written. It would definitely be a step back, but people wouldn't be living in fucking medieval style villages. This ending just serves to decentralize communications systems for a while so powerful people won't manipulate them.
They could easily prod with the prod. They don't need TNT.
>ywn be able to come back in the morning and pay ten credits for a sanpan ride
every playthrough, I still try to jump onto a moving sanpan and ride it hoping maybe this time it'll let me.
To add on to this, just because the technologies themselves are gone doesn't mean the knowledge goes with it. Communities would likely create their own "intranet". Someone in China wouldn't be on the same net as someone in Europe or America. Or even smaller nets within those areas. This leaves the flow of information a lot less likely to be in control of one entity, like MJ12 was in control of Aquinas.
bump
>no canon MJ12 ending
>no canon Savage ending
JC was right, that is what matters

NOT ADVISABLE FOH TOURIST TO VISIT CANAL AT NIGH
Dark ages is the most retarded ending. You're essentially killing a bunch of people in a massive inconvenience that doesn't actually change dick.
>give up on what it means to be human
>let the bad guys win
>letting a bunch of people die
I wish we got some more conspiracy cyberpunk games
The illuminati had the right idea. People can't be trusted to make decisions for themselves, but they need to believe they are. They would be emotionally and spiritually atomized by their awareness of helios, killing their sense of purpose.
Let's say that internet and cell service died tomorrow. Only radios worked. The infrastructure was fucked. Guess who becomes politically stronger? The government as they rebuild what everyone fucking wants. Individuals do not have the resources to do so.
Cyberpunk 2077 should be interesting
JCelios is the only ending that offers something different, a new way forward
Temporarily stunting global technological progress or giving power to the incompetents who helped ruin the world in the first place are both equally retarded
