Thats it? So far this feels like a normal run of the mill shooter, with less gameplay elements than most modern shooters to me. And the weapons missing the oomph I want. They feel so lightweight. Even Tomb Raider and Uncharted have better weapon feeling.
I'm really bored so far. Does it get better?

Playing on whatever the normal difficulty is called. But yeah, its way too easy so far, and the enemies are a joke. The normal possessed are just HP bait, the imps are way too predictable, and the heavy guys go down too easily. Probably gonna switch to the highest I can at this point.

There are games where increasing the difficulty alters enemy strategy, weaponry, and what enemies are where. DOOM is not one of them, but that's no excuse to not play on the hardest difficulty optional for the true DOOM(tm) experience

Doom on nightmare is the most fun I've ever had in a recent game. You're constantly battling movement and aiming. There's nothing more satisfying than dodging enemy attacks while continuing to perfectly it them. On top of that my friends see me play and think I'm fucking legendary.

You most likely don't have any fun weapons yet. You'll never use the pistol and regular shotgun past a certain point.

Play through the game with no upgrades at all and it actually becomes a challenge.

now THIS is autism. playing with no weapon mods would suck. playing with the normal combat shotgun, and never having the gernade launcher on it would be so much harder and less fun, same with no lock on RPG, and no charge gauss cannon or stun field plasma gun.

It's pretty much Halo without reloading. I played it twice because Sup Forums told me it would have been better on Nightmare. It wasn't.

Even Nightmare is easy though. It's my biggest beef with DOOM 2016. Not enough enemies and it's too damn easy to the point that they need to add in some lame permadeath crap just to gie it some difficulty

Nah this game is extremely average and repetitive and everyone praising it so much is just forcing themselves to pretend it's somehow super fun. I had to really force myself to finish it.

I'll just warn ya, OP. the gameplay doesnt get that varied but you get alot of cool fun guns and the battles get thicker. Arcade mode is also pretty cool

Just ask the Quake Champions pr guy for a key or buy the game, it's a far better multiplayer
