How is it?
How is it?
Very good, if you never played HD/Fury it's worth it.
If it's just to play 2048, meh.
Its HD/Fury/2048 in locked 60. Its fucking glorious.
>PS3 game ends up being the best looking PS4 game
What went right?
>rip off fzero
>make it slower
>smaller tracks
>fewer opponents
>less technical
and still you sony ponies lap it up. youll eat anything as long as its (((exlcusive))) wont you cucks?
beautiful but too fast for me
strange because I used to enjoy all the Wipeouts on PS1
Not for casuals.
>less technical
Thanks for letting us know you've never played the game at all.
Good ports, but boring games.
I'm sorry your series is completely dead and gets more character cameos and amiibos than actual game releases, but you don't need to direct your anger towards Wipeout.
Btw who's going to play Wipeout VR? I can't wait to barf.
worse and slower fzero
It's great. I thought 2048 on Vita was good, but it being 60fps makes it quite a bit better. Also load times are much improved compared to the Vita version. So this pretty much fixes the only flaws the game had.
If it's still $20 on PSN then grab it now.

It's good. Wipeout HD is pretty much the same but playing 2048 at good resolution and 60FPS is legit. Makes the game suck a lot less.
Good ports of HD and 2048 aside from the new soundtrack selection when you can't use something like PS3 playlists anymore either. Some of the sound design was also altered, the 2048 ships for instance don't sound like V8 cars anymore and more like podracers, and battle events for that game mix in HD's announcer. Otherwise good.
Art direction and probably a lot of post-processing to hide some details. Racing games can probably get away with some shit.
Holy s*** that looks cool as f***.
Racing games and sports games are always the best way to differentiate optimization.
You can make so much look good out of a racing game because it's so very limited in its essence. Not shitting on racing games I love them. Just saying that they are always show cases for their systems and it kinda sucks that the big names like GT and Forza suck ass now.
It's pretty good.
Too bad they changed the soundtrack. I wouldn't mind it so much if the new one wasn't worse.
I think they changed something about the announcer too but I'm not so sure about that.
Otherwise a great game.
Really fun. Slick presentation, tight gameplay, killer OST, it's the whole package. 2048 on Vita was my first game in the series so this is is good for trying HD for the first time.
I had more fun with Redout when it comes to tracks and physics but I played that on PC and disabled half the post-processing effects to make it not look like shit. Kinda wish I could pick features of both and make a new game out of that.
>and it kinda sucks that the big names like GT and Forza suck ass now.
Why does GT suck? It has the best online mode by miles compared to any other mainstream racer and IMO even improved on iRacing's system.
It also has no shady microtransactions with every new car / track released being free, nor does it have shitty lootboxes (doesn't matter if they are free like Forza7, it's still a crap system in its essence)
I give you that it didn't launch with a "career" mode, but they have since added GT League which is similar and will only get improved with time. I guess you can criticize its content model (of launching with relatively little content but adding entire new modes and tripling its current car and track count for free over the coming years) but the game itself is solid.
At least it has longevity considering we know a new one won't come out until years into PS5's life and even a sceptic can pick it up for $10 a year or two from now and enjoy all the content that has been added since launch at no extra cost, while other franchises launch their 8th, 9th, 10th full-priced sequels with shittier and shittier lootbox progression systems and the same old nearly unplayable online modes.
Forza is fine. 7 is good and Horizon 3 is great. GT has seen better days but Sport is excellent for the online stuff and single player is getting better with updates.
I still have only one question: CUSTOM SOUNDTRACKS?
It's fun. I played it for weeks straight and I don't really like racing games to begin with. The soundtrack is pretty good as well, but not as great as previous releases from what I've read online.

Would like to take a minute of everyone’s time to shill Redout.
It's great, if you're a fan of Wipeout you really should own it.
>Wipeout gets a re-release
>BallisticNG's development is going pretty well
>Slipstream GX is kill
>Fast Racing Neo/Fast RMX and Redout are also things
>F-Zero only gets two themed Mario Kart tracks and a Mii outfit
Since we're kind of gone past a small resurgence in anti-grav racing games, how did Formula Fusion end up?
