KANGZ aside, how much time have you invested into this franchise over the years?
Can we all agree that pic related was the absolute worst shit?

it was a big letdown for me

Well, this thread is off to a great start.
Sup Forums go back
I think syndicate was by far the worst
Everything before 4 wasn't that bad
4 was the best.
Stopped at Revelations when they stole the apple for the thousandth time. It was in the beginning of the game they said it got stolen and I just turned it off and never went back.
CHARLES LEE
More like uncuck yourself
It was better than Revelations.
I've played all of the games, except a couple spinoffs. probably average about 30 hours in each, except Black Flag, I played that one to death.
Go to plebbit or something you dumb nigger, this is a white only website.
Never played past Black Flag, what was so bad about Syndicate?
2 was hands down the best. Well it was the first I’ve played and the only one that actually felt like it took a lifetime to finish. Stopped at 4.
when I was real little I played a little of ac1 and liked it, but got stuck tailing someone and gave up cuz it was a rental from blockbuster or something.
The high watermark of obv the ezio trilogy, which are all pretty great, though imo the tower defense thing from revelations blew.
Played 3, hated Connor, hated the gameplay, hated the ship stuff which made me avoid 4.
I stopped paying attention to it after that, but I’ll probably pick up origins when it’s cheap cuz I love anchient Egypt and I hear some good things.
Here’s me trying to save this shit thread
oops sorry guys wrong pic
Only ASSCREED game I've played to completion is Black Flag.
The setting was really good but they fucked up the movement, combat, and general gameplay. Dunno if they changed it after syndicate since i haven't played any of them.
AC1 - beat the story to completion and felt shock at the end reveal. Felt it was mediocre even back then, but had lots of potential.
AC2 - complete mindblown, beat it multiple times and left it around 98% completion, with only chests and feathers missing
ACB - nice follow up, I did all the missions with the special requirements and felt ripped off after my endgame rewards were a shitty fur coat and a weird looking Raiden exosuit
ACR - beat it out of obligation, I only remember that the trailer was kino and the main town theme was really grand and nostalgic
AC3 - couldn't even get halfway through it, I wanted to get into it, but it was too painful
AC4 - And that's about it. I asked a buddy who kept playing the series if there was any worthwhile game to play; he gave me some recs like Syndicate and Rogue, but even then he couldn't say they were worthwhile games to play.
A shame really, the franchise was not top of the edge stealth or action, but it had the sparkle of potential and a good momentum, but then it was milked to death.
Requiescat in pace, AssCreeds

KANGZ is unironically the best Creed game in years
I'm still not quite following. Movement as in clunky? Combat as in too button mashy? General gameplay as in not enough stealth/assassination? Random guesses, but those were my problems with 3.
I swear every review said the naval battles were the best part. Personally I loved the pirate feel of everything. It was shallow as hell but I couldn't care less
Origins is actually pretty good
not as good as other Open World Action RPGs like The Witcher 3 or Horizon
not a lot of stealth options, something you come to expect from ASSASSIN'S Creed
you play more like a warrior, and funny how you're not as over powered in close combat as other Assassin's, but this is good combat actually has some challenge to it
it still manages to be fun to play, and the world fun to explore
in all aspects it's a B game, but if you like Egypt this is a game for you
It's honestly really ironic. Assassin's Creed manages to make fun games for everything but being an Assassin
Black Flag by being a pirate, and now Origins by being in Egypt
The thing I'm wondering is how much mystical fantasy stuff there is in Origins? It'd be the most appropriate setting for it, but the series seemed to really want to cut down on that after AC3.
>AC
didn't play
>AC 2
Great. Ezio was an amazing character. Loved Italy. Missions were great
>ACB
Felt like a great expansion to AC2. Ezio had nice development. And I had fun with recruiting and using other assasians
>ACR
Beginning of downhill slide. Tower defense was awful. Didn't finish the game
>AC3
Didn't even make it halfway before dropping it
>AC4
Cool pirate game. Some of the worst AC missions though
>ACU
One of the best settings. But the stagnant formula left me uninterested
>ACR
never played
>ACS
never played
>ACO
Love the setting. I'm getting used to the combat but it's a nice change of pace. Like an Egyptian Witcher with AC aspects
Movement as in free running is awkward and spread across 3 buttons now
combat as in there's not real fighting/assassinating anymore and now everything has a healthbar
general gameplay as in I dunno it just doesn't really feel like a ass creed game
I just played 1 and 2. Tried brotherhood and got bored. Tried 3 and got bored even faster.
Some of it exists, it doesn't play a super major role or anything though.
You visit a tomb underneath a pyramid, full of precursor tech. Eventually the templar sect figures out how to operate the apple in a way that doesn't involve bludgeoning people to death and you get a reveal similar to AC1's ending.
>Movement as in free running is awkward and spread across 3 buttons now
How is that a bad thing? Making all free running bound to one single button that they also tied to sprint is what ruined the fucking series.
Did anyone ever play Rogue?
There any Ancients running around? Like I always expected Egyptian gods to tie into that.
>using WHERE'S instead of WE
Made me lose it. So much funnier with WHERE'S instead of WE.
>hated
Nigga, the naval battles in 3 were by and large the most amazing shit in the entire game. The way you had to deal with weather during the whole fight in a meaningful way, the way there was constantly localized damage to the enemy ship depending where you shot it, the entire 'mini'game had so much depth to it that it was astounding.
The most infuriating thing about AC4 was it was like someone took a look at the only good part from AC3, and went 'alright, dumb this down and spread it out over 40 hours of gameplay'. I understand that you can't have it be as detailed or in depth when you're building a whole game around the concept, but holy fuck was AC4 basically a baby-tier version of the ship combat in AC3.
Well, with the first two points, I can see why the third thing is true. Thanks user.
I just started it. Already testing my patience to be honest, just for the sole reason that I've played 2 hours and Shay still hasn't turned against the Assassins. If I wanted to play Black Flag again I'd just reinstall it. Hoping it at least goes somewhere interesting soon.
>Nigga
I AM NOT FUCKING BLACK YOU FUCKING SPIC LICKER. YOU PROBABLY JERK OFF TO SAINT FUCKING SEIYA, PABLO GUERERRO DE LA CHICHUCHUCHIHUANA. CHECK MY 5 AND DONT YOU EVER REFER TO ME A "NIGGA" AGAIN.
Nope, far as I can tell.
50 BC is actually fairly modern in a way. Anything that would have tied into the precursor thing would have been back in the "old kingdom," and even then it's buried under like 100 meters of sand.
Origins is the best game in the series from a gameplay perspective. It's up there with 2 and 4 as my favorites overall.
>21st December
RIP Desmond
>AC
Couldn't bring myself to finish it. Great idea, very unrefined - Ubisoft still in the early stages of figuring out how open worlds work. Hated the combat.
>AC II
Much improved. Enjoyed it a lot. Combat still pretty awful though, would only engage when forced into it, and would cheese around it wherever possible.
>AC:B
More of the same. Enjoyed most of it but it was a slog towards the end. Still hated the combat.
>AC:R
I definitely ran out of steam by this point. A lot of subtle changes made to shake things up, mostly for the worse IMO. The tower defense shit was fuckin' awful. Still hate the combat.
>AC:III
Played it for a couple hours one night and never came even close to wanting to pick it back up. Still hate the combat. Watched the rest on YouTube during dead shifts at work.
>AC:IV
Have a copy sitting at home but haven't worked up the energy to play it. I'm well and truly burned out on the series at this point, and all the talk of there being so many tailing missions in this really put me off. I'll play it eventually.
>AC:U
Haven't played it.
>AC:Rogue
Haven't played it, but depending on how I like Black Flag, this will probably be my next stop.
>AC:S
Haven't played it.
>AC:O
Haven't played it. Of all the ones I haven't played, this one probably interests me the most (to the point where I might even jump straight to it). I love ancient Egypt as a setting, and the move to a more typical combat style away from the AC style can only be a good thing in my eyes.
I lost interest in the modern-day shit after they killed him off, it's all just been garbage after that. At least they still nail the historical tourism.
How does Origins deal with the overall lack of vertical structures and trees?
NIGGA, NIGGA BITCH NIGGA NIGGA CALM DOWN. YOU'RE WHITE. WHY YOU CHIMPING OUT? WHY YOU GOTTA HAVE A NIGGA MOMENT?
>didn't really enjoy the first
>enjoyed the second mostly
>sorta enjoyed the next one
>ran out of steam by the 4th game
>bought the next 6 fucking games regardless and didn't even play them
You are what is wrong with the industry and I hate you deeply. Stop supporting shit monetarily if you don't like it, what the fuck kind of cunt are you that you throw away income on games you don't even enjoy while also showing Ubishit that you'll keep eating whatever shit they shovel at you?
WHAT THE FUCK? YOU WERE NEVER A KING. HELL, YOU WERE NEVER EVEN A KANG, AND YOU'RE TOO RETARDED TO BE A KONG. SO FUCK YOU. YOU'RE A STUPID NIGGER AND NOTHING COULD CHANGE THAT.
>Can we all agree that pic related was the absolute worst shit?
No, this was. And I don't understand why everyone keeps pretending it's a good game.
How many fucking layers does this ironic shitposting have, holy shit.
There's plenty of big shit to climb, you'd be surprised. Mountains, pyramids, Greek buildings.
>Playing Origins
>Oh look, I can disable the HUD
>Can't figure out how to do anything without mashing buttons because the game isn't actually designed to have the HUD disabled
>mfw the combat and animations and characters and voice acting and story
Whatever team over at Ubby that makes Far Cry is the only team worth a damn. Sure, it's a collectathon, but at least the gunplay and variety are good. They even manage to have decent campaigns with some fun levels. Certain recent games that will go unmentioned actually have me appreciating the outposts and progression in Far Cry.
tl;dr The series is shit. ACII was half decent and is in retrospect an unplayable turd.
>bought the next 6 fucking games regardless and didn't even play them
Uh... no. I only have the ones I've played (AC-AC:III) and the one I was intending to play next (AC:IV).
Also literally none of the above were bought first-hand. Every single one was bought for next to nothing online.
Calm down you fucking idiot.
>tfw nfw
Just look at the HUD once and then turn it off if you really want.
I have played all the games and also own all the books as well as the movie on blu-ray.
That said, it isn't the worst Assassins Creed game, but its still disappointing. For me it would be Syndicate as it was such a downgrade from Unity. While Unity suffered from lots of bugs, boring protagonist and shit story, the graphics when not glitching out were beautiful. It was colorful and wonderfully detailed, while Syndicate is grey and boring. Though its Jack the Ripper DLC is actually fucking amazing.
Also most people hate it because of the modern day stuff as they tried to make Desmond relevant at the last minute. Like introducing and killing a character off in the same episode, it leaves no impact. Games after that have convoluted events in the modern day timeline so much that there is no clear sequence of events.
Good luck trying to do any one of the horrible quests without the marker, especially in this lazy sand dune of a game world.
Picked up Origins after having not finished an AC game since 2. Origins is fun, but the performance is totally fucked on PC. I never could get into 4's pirate bullshit, the combat was too clunky and dull. Just like 3.
I played AC1 and enjoyed it.
I then played AC2 and enjoyed it a lot less.
I didn't touch AC until AC Rogue which I suddenly found myself enjoying again.
But not enough to play more than that, and I haven't touched an AC game since...
Well I don't know what to say I didn't feel the need to completely disable the UI since the game was plenty immersive with it.
Finished an AC game in PSP and Played AC3 up to Connor's teenage life when he still doesn't have the assassin hood outfit.
Then my save got corrupted for some reason and lose interest with the game and the whole franchise.
