>x is y and that's why it's great
Why are there so many articles like this?

Was annoyed that running didn't heat you up at all. Seemed very unfair and reliant on RNG on higher difficulties.

Good escapism. I bet people with depression love it

Takes way to fucking long to do anything. It's like the PC is missing every finger besides the thumb and index.

So this is why people like BOTW

>Was annoyed that running didn't heat you up at all

Thats not the only problem the game has, the biggest one is the insane amount of water you have to consume each day not to mention when you sleep. Also the fact that your clothes rot away in just a few days.

For a game that aims to be just like real life is sure has platny of problems

One of the only ""survival"" games worthy of that tag.

>Many readers are making it known on the internet that they are fed up with article titles, and that's a problem.

Like to play it in the background when I'm listening to albums. Mainly ambient and black metal shit, especially good now in winter. Not an amazing game but bretty good

it's proven time and time again that those headlines get the most clicks

you may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like

It's a super low effort template for a title

New story mode is straight up garbo and basically a 20 hour tutorial.
Sandbox mode is still great.

>Sup Forums hates innawoods now

Yeah man, I have had the same shitty winter cost for a good 5 years now, it is still warm and cozy despite looking a little worn

Stating "this is how it SHOULD be" either challenges or validates your view, which both get the clicks rolling in.

I don't, it's just that these games don't capture the feeling of being outside or surviving
I haven't camped in the mountains for years now and I'm really starting to miss it, it's tearing me apart slowly /out/ is also a great board

I think a lot of games run into that issue. They always want you to be on edge (which is the point of survival) so every item is transient in nature and you're required to just constantly circle around to collect the same shirt or can of beans over and over.

Then again you have the flip side in, I don't know off the top of my head, something like ARK where the first hours are a survival experience but once you have your foot in the door you're a gun toting sky god who now just goes around to collect pretty things for your hyper palace.

>Yeah man, I have had the same shitty winter cost for a good 5 years now, it is still warm and cozy despite looking a little worn

Basically, I understand a sock getting a hold or two after but a winter jacket or pic related being useless in like a week? What a bullshit, I also have how you cant turn off of this feature and you are basically forced to have your clothes rot away each day slowly.

ever try thehunter call of the wild?

>canadian
>made with unity
>"comfy"
its trash

i want to, looks really nice, never been into hunting sims though apart from carnivores 1998

Same man, I've played all the survival games and none of them come close. Maybe it just can't be emulated on a computer.

it's pretty fun when you're not getting fucked over by the weird ai. kind of grindy but it's easy to just give yourself a bunch of money with cheat engine.

Decent game for winter time. A lot of the challenge is obtuse when you need to drink 5 gallons of water every 2 days to stay alive and your clothing wears away so quickly, but that makes it more challenging and more engaging as a result. It would be nice if the game allowed you to choose how quickly stuff deteriorated at least.

Walking simulators (that should just get rid of the attempt to sell themselves as game and just go full in with a different fancy name) are about giving you a trip of sorts.
You immerse, walk on the world, see what it want to show you.

So judging by those parameters, is this software a nice worthy trip?

"survival" and crafting mechanics are literally the two worst things to happen to game design fucking ever
