missing newt, nim, and kos mos, 100 hours in but i've never gone out of my way to grind cores
explored the entire game and fought most the bosses, focusing on side quests/super bosses
Chase Morales
I've played 170 hours and I've finished the game and completed every sidequest and heart-to-heart (including those of all rare Blades), I'd only need to grind to complete some of the affinity charts that are left and defeat all unique monsters, but I'm kinda burnt out right now so I'll move on to other games. I also want to know how new game plus works, I'll probably leave defeating unique monsters to that run.
Jeremiah Nguyen
I gave up
130 hours, wish the menus were better
Luis Cox
105 hours. Im done for now, nees to give it a break. Finished the story. Think im missing 10 blades or so. Might pick it up again later aftee the dlc releases if its any good. Currently playing a visual novel
Liam Watson
I dropped it for a while, I'm really burnt out on the endgame. It's not fun exploring when I've got to shuffle about field skills every few minutes, then level blades to get those skills, etc. It's just not fun at all and I hope they do something about it in a later patch, because I feel like I've to sit through 30 minutes of menu shit to play the game for an hour.
Dominic Powell
What do you mean? Did you finish it? At 130 hours you must be pretty close.
I'll agree that messing around with field skills is a pain, but it becomes fairly okay when you're further in and have more blades with lv3+ skills
Justin Hughes
100%, finished the story at 70 fully understood how battles worked at 65
Nathan Harris
Damn, that's definitely a hell of a play, no wonder you're feeling burned out. Its okay playing normally, but grinding the trust like that is pretty damn dull. Especially after farming enough to get all the blades
Dominic Cooper
>854 luck >99 legendary core crystals left
I'm finally going to get Newt right, lads? She's the last one I need.
James Barnes
...
Kayden Jenkins
What point of the game are you at that has that much field skills? I don't remember there being almost any towards the end.
Luis Perry
>Tfw can't even get 600 luck
I'm not even lucky enough to get Luck mod Blades.
I'm literally just going to roll cores on Rex (higher stats) and overdrive anything good to Zeke at this point.
Logan Adams
I finished the game at around 70 hours, stopped at 75. I'm just not finding the menu surfing fun, and now there's a lot of it. The other problem I have is levelling blades and having to run back and forth to the affinity menu.
Eli Russell
I love Lady Morag, and I want to marry her!
Christian Morgan
I discovered arts linking and full burst in chapter 8, so don't feel too bad about that. I kinda wish the game was hard enough to require learning that stuff sooner.
Ironically, I replayed X last summer to get 100% survey rate and that also last me 170 hours. It sure feels like I did more stuff in X than in 2 though.
Jacob Nelson
At chapter 4 and I'm liking the game overall but there is some things I really don't like. Field skills seem like a huge cluster fuck. Useless common blades that I keep having to delete. RNG on the cores seem brutal, 60 cores opened and I got Electra on Rex. Even my common blades are all fucked up, mostly healers on Rex and fighters on Nia. Side quests that go on and on with very little reward for the time spent in the end. Like I said, I'm enjoying the game but these things are annoying to me and I'd probably even stop opening core crystals at this point because of how demoralizing it is.
Jackson Cox
I rolled all three rare Blades I was missing two days ago from legendary cores with just 535 luck, as long as you're using the justice booster you should be good unless the Random Number God decides to piss on your grave.
Wyatt Gray
Still need Percival and Adenine
Nathaniel Gray
>He thinks rolling for blades is bad now
Boy, you don't know what hell awaits you.
Brayden Hughes
A face you would trust?
Jayden Johnson
Honestly if it gets worse I'd rather not participate. I'm assuming you can beat the game with the main story blades only?
Jayden Baker
I haven't beaten the game yet. I got to the point a little while after unlocking the Topple on the anchor hook and realized the combat would never get better.
Jose White
As long as they're well leveled, yes
Carter Rodriguez
...
James Collins
So, a few things:
1. Those useless generics actually become fantastic for solving field skills without having to putz around in the menus. They're arranged by rarity by default, so as long as your 3 Crown or 4 Crown ones are going on merc missions you can just grab them without worrying and get through it. Easier to grab a generic wind with lv3 Wind Mastery than remembering which of your rare blades have it, etc.
If you don't have merc missions, it'll make a lot more sense very soon. Also helps that most of the skills to worry about are Wind/Earth/Water mastery, with some Focus/Lockpicking/Superstrength as flavor.
2. Don't worry too much about the rare blades, you'll get enough from stories to solve any real issues and you can fix any gaps up with Overdrive Protocols later (you get them by releasing a 4 Crown Generic with a full affinity chart and by completing your main characters affinity charts).
Basically:
Rex: You've got plenty of story rares you can give him. The beastly core and the core you inherit are both great on him. He's got no worries.
Nia: You can get one healer from a sidequest in Gormott, so only need one more
Tora: Doesn't need anything
2nd Tank: Gets a second story blade automatically and you can Fish a third one up from the first Salvage Point in Changsam Wastes when you've brought the information about the greedy monster from the informant. Later can give Theory too.
2nd DPSer: Comes late, so just give any Attack rares you've got left. Praxis is great, the Rare you buy from Gormott is great, and there's a side quest Rare (Herald) for him in Tantal by busting the broken wall and giving to the shrine.
Basically: No need to stress.
Wyatt Evans
Why is she so useless?
Xavier Green
WHEN
Jackson Turner
Oh and if you do buy the rare in Gormott, make sure to talk to the guy again with her equipped afterwards. You'll get half your money back.
Gabriel Long
Why do I want Vess to be overly motherly and discipline me inappropriately
It actually probably does get a lot better. What specifically didn't you like? Chances are you can completely fix that.
Auto attacking at the start: Affinity skills let you start a battle with your arts available. Another lets you chain one art into another.
And hell, when you get Mythra and some crit you literally have zero downtime because her abilities become always available.
Too complicated: You just gotta get the hang of it.
Too slow: You're not using Pyra for combos then (She's got +50-70% damage on combos and even more towards beasts) or you're not keeping your Chips up to date.
Etc.
The game has unironically one of the best combat systems I've ever seen.
Benjamin Edwards
what do the moonrunes say
Jackson Wilson
>second half is NTR Sure, why not?
Xavier Thomas
unfortunately all encounters end up being the same >stack orbs >kill them in one hit
Sebastian Lewis
Damn! First half is perfect! Shame about the stupid rape/NTR nonsense for the second.
Mythra and Pyra swapping out atop Rex though, that's fucking golden.
Asher Foster
Is there a worse rare?
Thomas Ramirez
Superbosses maybe, normal enemies and most UMs will die long before that's a thing. I didn't get to use Full Burst until almost the very end of the game.
Hell, even the final boss I could barely stack 4 orbs on before he was almost dead.
And there's still fun doing things like using your combos and timing to get iFrames and avoid specific dangerous attacks.
What teams would you recommend making for MAXIMUM ORB POWER?
Brody Gonzalez
Justice Boyo
Adam Howard
PLESZE HLP mE
James Mitchell
>And there's still fun doing things like using your combos and timing to get iFrames and avoid specific dangerous attacks. That's alright in this game, but it doesn't reach the pure exhilaration of when I fought the Telethia in X and had to time arts to avoid getting put to sleep and toppled throughout the entire battle, it was like a different game for that one battle.
Nicholas Torres
Electra/Raikou
Josiah Cox
What level/point of the game are you at?
Mason Stewart
>Find UM 15 levels above my own >Can kill it with blade combos to chain attack >But only with perpetual Mythra anchor shot to keep me alive I feel dirty. And these dumb Forest chips aren't much better than the Silver chips I already had. I just wanna Smash spam it instead.
Isaac Hernandez
Anangham Port salvage point, basic cylinder generally gives a crab which almost always drops them
Joseph Wright
I'll never understand why the people who come into a XBC2 thread just to shitpost about X don't simply make a thread about the game they actually want to talk about.
It's like when we used to have DaS threads and they'd get shitposted to death by people going on about DeS. And yet none of them would just make a thread about DeS and talk about it there, it was too important to them to try annoy other people.
Leo Nelson
I'm in Indol, having recently beaten Big Robot followed by Jin followed by Less Invincible Big Robot.
Thankyou, I'll try this!
Aaron Rogers
>no cheevos >no bestiary >no collectopaedia >menus are terrible >affinities isn't a sprawling web of relationships >minimap sucks gay
Liam Perry
I'm not far into the game at all but I noticed that the first town battleship that you rescue Nia from has high drops for common cores from the guards.
Mason Martinez
I'm not shitposting, just comparing it to the same mechanic in a previous game. I didn't say Xenoblade 2 is shit or anything like that, I just liked pulling off the secondary effect canceling better in X, what's the problem?
Nicholas Howard
Then yeah, that user's method is the best. Check back once you get to chapter 8 since better methods become available which let you farm legendary cores.
Joshua Phillips
why so butthurt user
Julian Jones
I'm a little tired of being cucked by Addam
Ethan Hernandez
...
Eli Wilson
Raiko is great thought, at least better than most of the other HP tanks.
Kevin Foster
I want to play with Nia's crotch jewelry!
Colton Sullivan
omg she is sooooo cute
Nolan Clark
Did he redeem himself Sup Forums?
Ethan Carter
When did you realize that best girl is Wulfric?
Jayden Watson
it's not like he actually killed anyone, they just went somewhere else
Brandon Brooks
>Rex: Pyra, Gorg, Roc
Fire, Light, Water, Wind
>Nia: Dromach, Dahlia, Floren
Water, Ice, Earth
>Morag: Brighid, Electra, Finch
Fire, Electric, Wind
That's the best I can come up with, unless you want to do a DPS/DPS/Tank setup or something.
But it's still pretty good, that's Fire, Light, Water, Wind, Ice, Earth, Electric.
You're only missing Dark. And you can just go fish up Kassandra and give her to Morag for that instead of Finch, then you've got full 8 Orb coverage and can do some ridiculous FULL BURSTS.
Course, nothing will live long enough for that, but ohwell.
Jose Brown
Because every thread has the same autist who comes in just to talk about X. Hell, he makes half the obviously shitposting threads.
Brayden Ramirez
I don't know if I would say that he redeemed himself. But he's definitely more sympathetic here because his thought process and why he acted so hastily are explained better. But hearing Adam Howden again really made putting up with the dub worth it.
Jaxson Jenkins
the other half of him genocided a race and killed quite a few people
Nathaniel Kelly
>Roll her on Morag >She gets 80%+ block rate
I dunno, seems pretty good to me. What's the issue?
Thomas Sanchez
>Only has one field skill >Only field skill is literal trash
Insult to injury why don't you
Robert Walker
not his problem
Daniel Torres
>hearing Adam Howden again really made putting up with the dub worth it couldn't agree more, Adam is too good for this world
Logan Morales
Pretty much everything that crossed over probably got transfigured into matter or energy in the process, so technically, he could very well have killed them.
Also there's the possibility it was just their souls/energy that crossed over, the fact that the boss in the dead titan drops Galea's ID card seems to suggest that the people who were forcefully crossed over may have left their bodies behind in the process, hence the immortal husks that remain and infest Morytha
Sebastian Flores
>I dindu nuffin, I just sent people in another dimension >btw I also kill them in the other dimension but that's not my problem
Ian Lee
Addendum: As mentioned, if you want 8 orbs, get Kassandra for Dark.
You buy the information about the greedy monster from the informant (IIRC) in the merc camp, then go salvage at the first point in Changsam Wastes, close to the docks before you get to any of the level 80 enemies.
Thomas Barnes
What would you do when your cat start behaving abnormally?
Adam Gutierrez
Considering that Galea/Meyneth is the counterpart to Klaus/Zanza, shouldn't half of her still exist in X2 world's like Klaus?
Austin Morales
Zanza created those guys so it's his right to do whatever he wants, that's like saying Zanza has anything to do with Alrest
Joshua Morris
...
Adrian Cook
He never claims he didn't do anything. He's deeply remorseful for what he did, completely changed as a person and even used the Conduit to remake life on the planet (hopefully better) as a form of redemption.
Leo Baker
pretty sure he said everyone else was gone except him
Zachary Foster
...
Jose Miller
>Zanza created those guys except Zanza didn't create the machina and he also killed Meyneth that's like saying Zanza has anything to do with Alrest he IS Klaus, he has everything to do with Alrest
Jayden Lopez
...
Jose Bell
...
Jayden Johnson
But he also says that some humans remained and they then became the monsters in Morytha
Justin Ramirez
wasn't that some unrelated experiment for immortality and core crystals
Jeremiah Martin
Update your diary, bridgid
Liam Anderson
>What would you do when your cat starts behaving abnormally?
Nolan Ross
Note: For anyone who didn't know, both Pyra and Mythra have a conversation that (as far as I can tell) will only occur in Land of Morytha (maybe all endgame locations, I've only managed to trigger it there).
Mythra:
>Gramps: Has Rex been proving an adequate Driver? >Mythra: (Tone changes from her usual to a very soft, serious/heartfelt one) Yes, of course. My spirit is all warm, thanks to him.
Pyra:
>Rex: I love the outfit! Thanks! >Pyra: Don't mention it! (Laughs) Look, we match!
Austin Powell
Klaus has no means of interfering with Zanza's plan, nor has Zanza has any part in the creation of Alrest
it's pretty clear that they're acting independently from one another, since Klaus is the good half and Zanza the bad
Nicholas Thompson
What's the deal with Takahashi and White haired girls? Did he used to get bullied by one? >Galea >send to other dimension then killed >Melia >Suffering >Nia >suffering
Henry Brown
Reminder that Morag's breasts are apparently as big as Brighids.
Samuel Scott
However Zanza does have the same blame for the destruction of earth, since he was still whole when it happened
Tyler Walker
>NTR
how is it NTR when its used goods?
Hudson Russell
Nia doesn't have white hair and all her suffering is before the game starts. She's fine during the game and a hell of a lot better off than Meila.
Gabriel Scott
even so, Klaus or what's left of him has repented, only Zanza didn't.
someone mentioned that Zanza didn't even remember his previous life, is that true? the flashbacks at the end of the first game were all shown by Alvis
Aaron Ortiz
So Zanza is still a supreme dick and Klaus is just kinda a dick but feels bad for it
John Russell
Well, I'm not him and I don't give a shit about him.
