Is there a bigger pleb filterer than TEW1?
I don't think so.
Is there a bigger pleb filterer than TEW1?
I don't think so.
>series went from being pleb filter to being made for plebs in the sequel
Gaijin director was a mistake, akumu mode will never be replicated again.
1st game was bad, nobody liked it
/veddit/: OMG GOTYAY
2nd game was superior in everyday and actually fun and liked
/veddit/: REEEEEEEEEEE SHITGAM PLEBS PLEBS
kill yourself faggots
Jagged Alliance 2,
the staring area of Fallout 2
the entirety of Nioh
Ys
>game one is directed by mikami
>second one is by filthy gaijin
who would've thought that this board is biased af
either way, both games are subpar
>That moment in EW2 when Sebastian says fuck this and goes nuclear against the bosses of EW1
That sequence was kino
1 isn't too bad. The story and characters are kind of meh, but it keeps me drawn in for some reason
>Bethesda
You're right. Buying it shows you're a pleb with the memory of a goldfish.
I liked the first, why did people hate it? Haven't played the second yet
akumu mode a.k.a the gimmick die in one hit mode
nothing of value lost
I think people wanted something else from it, at least that's how it seems to me, and it was the case for me too
I saw the first chapter and I thought it's just another hide and seek, saw-like garbage, but later on it turned out to be one of my favourite horror game
Not because it's an especially scary game, but I absolutely love it's atmosphere and gameplay
I agree the intro was awful I almost switched off while running away from the guy with the chainsaw but after that I thought it was solid. Maybe that is what put people off
People constantly kept comparing it to TLOU back during release. Felt really stupid but I guess people saw TPS/Stealth Survival gameplay with monsters and concluded it was the same type of game.
The Evil Within II
Because that is the same type of game.
That scene has one of my favorite scene compositions I've ever seen in any horror game or movie I have watched. I'm talking about the tight corridor after you trip the wire, as Sebastian is running away from the threat behind him, you see a silhouette of the chainsaw man projected on the wall in front of him to the right as the camera is in the center stage directly behind the main actor. Now this shot, at that camera angle and with that particular shadow projection trick would be impossible to pull off in a movie if it were to be shot without CG. Really neat shot, great little detail.
Remembering how shit tew 2 really hurts, that baka gaijin director have zero originality. They went full Final Fantasy in the last 3 chapters, finishing this game was a painful experience for me.
>both games are subpar
No, gameplay, art direction and overall atmosphere is far superior in the first game
LILLY!!!! MUH PRECIOUS DAUGHTER
How is tew 2? Are you always low on ammo and afraid of every encounter as in the first or do you simply breeze through it?
it wasn't about the visuals, I still love every bit of the game in that sense, but the gameplay seemed very cliche and new-horror like, where you can only run or hide
it was probably my fault too, I mean I didn't know anything else about the game and I'm sure they've already made it clear the gameplay was much more than that
The gameplay is pretty much the same but now they give you more freedom to choose between stealth or action but you are still still low on ammo unless you play on casual mode.
The game is overall the same its not an improvement over the first game and its not worse but the story is really shallow
based on the demo (I'm planning on getting the full game this week) it's not that bad and I started it on nightmare
I don't know if there's another difficulty level after that, but I killed almost every enemy I saw
I don't see it as a problem though, to me it seemed like you still can't run around and shoot everything you encounter, but I like using stealth and the environment
Oh I wasn't making any excuses for the gameplay during that tutorial level. I agree with you that it's sort of a weak start, there's not much to it other than running and hiding as you said. The game draw parallels to is Resident Evil 4 because TEW is the closest thing to a spiritual sequel we'll ever get to that game, and RE4 has in my opinion one of the greatest openings to a video game, which doesn't strip you out of mechanics and puts you immediately into emergent action.
Just finished TEW2 last night. Easily worth NG+ runs, which I never felt for TEW1.
I'm glad to hear that, I'm pretty close to the platinum of TEW, I hope the second game will be a similar experience
I think they were sure that intro would sell the game to a larger audiance, but it somehow backfired, I mean I'm a horror fan and I haven't picked the game up until like a few months ago mainly because of that scene
If you use freeze bolts on proximity bombs they don't explode when you get near them and you can pick up the gear parts without the mini game.
I didn't know this when I was 100% all achievements and It would've helped greatly had I known.
Knife is one of the strongest weapons in the game if you have patience. And the more pen areas have some nice attention to detail and reasons to explore.
They used the logic that RE4sold incredibly well, therefore an RE4-like game with the same director should also sell very well. But the game's well over a decade old, has been released on every platform multiple times and already has a list of imitators. It did itself no favours by being so similar to RE4.
damn, never even heard about that
I like little details like that, the first time I hit an enemy in the head with a bottle and sneak killed him was actually by an accident and it felt so cool, seeing the trophy notification even made me chuckle
You can also shoot oil patches on the ground to ignite them instead of using a match. Shooting enemies in the leg will also make them trip, allowing you to finish them with matches. Although this can misfire if they carry a melee weapon and start flailing.
If you do the same thing to an enemy holding a molotov, they'll drop it and get set on fire themselves.
I liked the Kidman DLCs best of all. Currently working on a Kurayami run of The Assignment.
Far Cry 1
Original Crytek Far Cry was very belov
yeah, I knew about these, I've learned fast that shooting the ones with weapons in the leg wasn't a too good idea on akumu
I'm like halfway through the first Kidman DLC and I'm enjoying it much more than I expected, even though I loved the shootings in the base game
If you switch weapons back and forth using the dpad during reload you skip the animation.
Also, the turret section in the city level can be skipped completely if you run past the vehicle with the turret on and climb on top and jump over the cars straight ahead.
Is there a bigger pleb filterer than Tewi?
I don't think so.
What made it a pleb filter? I played it and I remember fuck all about it.
