As far as I know, trackers essentially host the torrent and do all the work matching your computer with peers to download data. Torrenting is essentially downloading data piecemeal from a number of different peers on a network. Peers who are actively uploading data are the so-called seeds.

Getting your stuff from private trackers ensures quality, safe torrenting since not just anyone can put something up and people need to choose to endorse it by seeding.

Wrong.
The sites just host the initial torrent file or magnet link. That basically allows the torrent client to access the current stream of seeders.
The actual download of the torrent is completely P2P and doesn't require a dedicated site.

Technically you could just upload any torrent form a private tracker to a public one but that gets you banned immediately so there's no point in doing that.

Spoon-feeding is never a good thing. People have to learn how to find answers themselves (which in this current age is not really that difficult) to these trivial questions. Torrenting is nothing new or overly complicated. The internet is full with guides and other related information about the topic. Literal 12 year olds know how to torrent these days.
