So was the intel performance loss a meme? Are people who use their system mainly to game impacted at all?

No. You're all fucked and arm processors are next.
is this the end of pc gaming?
for the millionth time the update has been out for linux and w10 since yesterday. there have been several pre/post benchmarks for different games that you can find if you search. There is no performance hit at all for games.
THE PERFORMANCE HIT IS COMING JUST YOU WAIT
AMD WILL BE BETTER FOR GAMING AND EMULATION
Slavs chinks and south americans will still be able to play DotA and lol so only for developed countries.
Literally 1 fps difference after kb4056898 and no visible impact on loading times for me.
4700 here nothing changed
Does it affect anything else on your computer though like just browsing the web or streaming films etc?
DELET IT.
IT IS HER TURN!!! When AMD dominates?
What about people who have older CPUs like 4670?
Modern consoles use the same processors.
4790k here, absolutely no difference in gaming-related tasks as far as i can tell.
Yes, it was a meme, as I was saying the entire fucking time. Stop listening to Sup Forums, they know fuck all about technology
Intel was shit even before the patch lul.
Now it's an abortion.
Pls respond. I'm not very tech literate.
Desktop users won't see a huge hit, but things like servers that perform a lot of operations might.
Don't forget energy bills
With 90% of the server industry going to see a sudden and marked increase in power consumption those will result in increased rates for literally everyone in the surrounding areas.
...
but intel wins in the picture you showed
is there a patch for windows 7?
I cant find it
It depends on how much calculating the processor needs to do.
PS4 uses an AMD APU, its immune to meltdown, and the other spectre attacks can't be performed on it because you can't run unsigned code on it anyway.
>watching Netflix last night
>resolution bumps down a notch
>not sure if I should blame Trump or intel
>is there a patch for windows 7?
It should roll in next few days.
So when the fuck is the class action lawsuit? Cause Intel literally fucked everything up and everyone is gonna be hurt by this
I can't even use the patch since my w7 hasn't been updated in 3 years.
Good thing there's no script.
You should still update even if the performance loss isn't bad on desktops spectreattack.com
>not blaming Sup Forums
You are the reason we lost the election
