109 games released for it in 2017

>109 games released for it in 2017
The Vita is dead...

*109 released in THE WEST I might add. Don't know the numbers for Japan.

>109 games
0 interesting games.

I love my Vita, and Uncharted Golden Abyss is a 78/100

it's still getting games which means it's still alive.

Did the Vita ever match the PSP in anyway?
Love my PSP

Fucking love my vita. If 109 games is correct I wonder how many games the 3ds got in 2017? I know they are getting a few in 2018. I love handhelds, too bad this will be the last generation of handhelds most likely.

Now this is what I call dedication.
It already made the PSP obsolete by being able to play anything the PSP could and better, and it has more and better games all around outside of the death of certain franchise like Patapon, but talking about Patapon it has Orgarhythm, which is more or less the same thing but with less charming art direction.

Unless they can make a practical switch handheld in the he future.

Nah, it lacked SRPGs and Racing games. Lacked puzzle games and arcade shooters as well.

>Nah, it lacked SRPGs
?
>Lacked puzzle games and arcade shooters as well.
Do you actually have a Vita or are just shitposting?
I give you racing games, but none of the others are true.

>None of the others are true
>Arcade Shooters
Dariusburst
Solder X-2
Resogun?
???

>Puzzle games
Lumines
Puyo Puyo Tetris
Tetris Ultimate

>SRPGs
God Wars
Lost Dimension
Grand Kingdom
Rainbow Moon
???

Name some quality shit instead of blindly assuming I'm shitposting.

dont forget it has disgaea 1, 2, 3, and 4
as well as the ability to play tactics ogre and FFT

I want to get a hackable vita. Is there any difference between jap and NA models?

SRPGs are my favorite subgenre, does the vita have anything along the lines of tactics ogre, yggdra union, growlanser 4, valkyria chronicles 3, wild arms xf, or gungnir?

For the JP model
any program that is built in such as settings and the PSN store the X and O buttons are swapped.
Those buttons are not swapped for NA games though only JP games.
That's the only difference I could find between my NA and JP Vitas

Right, I forgot Disgaea. I was only trying to list Vita titles, though.

Lost Dimension plays similarly to VC, but it's not the same thing. There's nothing close to Yggdra Union on it, to my knowledge.

Yet it's still getting games like Stardew Valley or Mercenary Kings.

Vita is having a weird life.

>109 games released for VITA in 2017
>Monster Hunter still not one of them

This. I just can't see buying a Vita when my PSP is objectively the perfect handheld.

Oh, and while it wasn't exactly what I was originally thinking, I guess Gal Gun fits under arcade shooters. I meant shoot 'em ups, more specifically.

>monster hunter
nigga you got toukiden, freedom wars, and SSD
you literally have 3 games better than nu-MH

There isn't shit all for next year after SoM. What the fuck am I going to play on it?

Have you played everything else?

Seething

It's a good handheld, it would have sold well, but should have been marketed better.

>you literally have 3 games better than nu-MH
This is the most disgusting shit I've seen on Sup Forums

I couldn't call myself an RPG enthusiast if I didn't. I was expecting games like coven to be localized. Clearly I was wrong in the assumption that that would ever happen.

Clearly NISA dislikes money and success.

This, especially SSD for multiplayer and Freedom War if you're more into single player they're better than anything Monster Slowter

It would have sold well if it wasn't actively killed by House

>slowter
That wasn't even clever. Step it up.

MH doesn't deserves the effort.

>put off Dungeon Travelers 2 for the longest time
>having trouble getting back to it
>mfw I see the other dungeon crawlers available on the system
I don't know how people play through all of these. Just DT2 is taking me forever.

so how many of them weren't shovelware
Trick question, they all are

Once you develop a skill for the preparation you're pretty much set for any DRPG. For individual games, once you learn the individual nuances and building a team most DRPGs or RPGS can't really deal with that. So you break it in half and whoop it's ass in games that don't require any sort of grinding to do damage that contends with it's damage formula.

which ends up leaving you hollow when you run out of JRPGs to play again.

...

The fuck is this nonsense?

Toukiden 2 was seriously really good except for the difficulty scaling. It's like 30 hours or more into the game before a boss actually aims to hit you with its attacks.

>I like prone game zolop
????

Wish Leohomin was more aggressive.

It's the Vita version that good? I heard it has several performance issues.

>being a brand loyalist

It's got quite a few.

Lost Dimension
Disgaea
God Wars
Utawarerumono
Super Robot Wars V
SD Gundam G Generation Genesis
The fucking Nep SRPG
Summon Night 6

Highly recommend SRWV/SDGundam though.

>was seriously really good except for the difficulty scaling
With musou-tier feeling of combat where every weapon feels like butter shit it can go fuck itself like all these """kind of MH""" games
And you can fuck off too with your shit taste

Not him but if you were ever to consider getting it. Get it on pc

Sorry, I haven't played the vita version. I can imagine it having some if it has a totally open world instead of being broken up into sections.

...

>being a dumb nigger that likes to play games with shitty combat

>where every weapon feels like butter shit
Not him but that's wrong. That gauntlets make you feel the weight of every impact. Feels great. Nagina on the other hand...

>listing the worst Lumines

>109 games for the Vita in the west
>PS4 got like 30 including multiplats

I got a Vita for Christmas this year. It's great. I don't have that many games for it right now, but I plan on getting more.

>The Vita is dead.
No it isn't, user. It's extremely popular in Japan.

half of those are multiplats

>over half the list are multiplats better played elsewhere or remake multiplats better played elsewhere

He was being ironic.

Damn, how did I forget to list SRW. Welp. Utawarerumono should really be listed with an additional note, since it's mainly a VN. Did Summon Night turn out good?
It's something. It's also less than 10 bucks.

>99% weeb shit
yeah, the vita has been dead for awhile now

>It's extremely popular in Japan
>extremely popular
It does okay.

Doesn't it sell more games than the ps4 does over there?
at least for games both consoles get

Just like Switch collages

As far as hardware, the vita has sold less. Software on the other hand is in a whole different class.

Gravity Rush is the only decent exclusive there.
The rest are ports and shovelware.

>say something negative about Sony
>NINTENDO!!!!
Which means nothing to me since I am a PC first kind of guy who doesn't even own a Vita, Switch or any current gen console/handheld unless we cheekily count the 3DS as current gen since it stills gets games.

You'll have to excuse him, Sonyfags can't take criticism very well so they tend to deflect to Nintendo or Microsoft usually the former.

Youre right that totally invalidates the argument that handheld faggots keep bragging about multiplats

There's literally not a single shovelware game on that list. Do you even know what shovelware means?

Welcome to consoles.
At least the Vita is portable, and to be frank, a lot of those games were created for it and later ported to other systems.

>There's literally not a single shovelware game on that list.
Dude, if it isn't a port, remake or Gravity Rush it's a cheap, poorly made, rushed out, shovelware piece of shit that was eventually put on the PS4.

You're a retard.

Vita's a nice piece of hardware with a good screen and good inputs, and in many cases the only way to play the game in question handheld.

Im an idort and I've opted to get games on Vita before and I'll do it again in 2018 with Catherine, Digimon, and Legend of Mana if I get that.

Calling me a retard won't change facts.

Never understood why people like Lumines

>and good inputs,
No no no, not at all. The Vita's inputs are hot shit unless you're a manlet.

>pic related got a vita port
>tfw can comfy in bed with top tier VN while I cry and fap

>Fuck up the PSP Go by launching it too early
>Release the vita without TV out
>Don't fix the mistakes from the PSP era and still include proprietary memory
>Don't have a dock for the console since no TV out
>Couldn't pair a dual shock controller with it
>Hardware revision missing both of these
>release Vita TV with a fucking whitelist
Could Sony have fucked up anymore?

>"Portability" is a relevant argument, only when Nintendoesit

That's not true at all user. It's the best dpad of the generation, the sticks are god tier by handheld stick standards, the only real problem is no dual shoulder buttons.

They should have sold it as the remote play device for the PS4 and marketed as such starting around mid '15. It's basically the way to play a lot of anime trash that is released on PS4, as well as similar games. Instead they called it dead in the West.

You didn't say any facts. You spouted your wrong ignorant opinion. There's not a single game in that image that is shovelware and you couldn't point one out if you were asked to. Shovelware does not mean games you aren't interested in or which you didn't see any marketing for. Shovelware are cheap quick to make games with no quality.

This image is a list of shovelware, not the games in that vita image.

>Release the vita without TV out

>people using the multiplat reply
>not realizing that being able to play them on the go makes gives them an exclusive feature that consoles cannot do
love my vita

>This image is a list of shovelware
Both images show shovelware dingus. The only difference is that the majority of shovelware in the previous image was nip shovelware and they tend to give their games better box art presentation to disguise how shallow they are.

it's just ok...

Please point out a single shovelware game then and I'll tell you how retarded you are.

>mfw hacking your vita fixes nearly all of these issues

109 games is pretty much dead when compared to real handhelds that have a ton of games like the switch and 3ds. The vita is a waste of money and anyone stupid enough to be scammed by buying one.

>Shovelware are cheap quick to make games with no quality.
You mean like most of the games here? Because they're also shovel ware titles. Unless you're really going to defend Lumines, Hakuoki and Stein's Gate

How is Killzone Mercenary? Just got a Vita and while mainly an RPG guy, I also enjoy shooters every npw and then. I sometimes play Battlefield with some friends on PS4 just to unwind.

>switch
>ton of games
and I own both 3ds and vita. both have completely opposite titles, so it's worth it to buy both.

Why wouldn't you defend them?

>Please point out a single shovelware game then and I'll defend it because my brand loyalty won't allow me to say it's not.
You seem to me like the type that would defend Uncharted.

The real question is why would you?

The Switch has more games released this week on the eshop alone that are actual great quality games compared to the Vita's entire lifetime's worth of shovelware and weebshit tier games.

There's a difference.

>ton of games like the switch

Are you that new you don't know about Lumine and fucking S;G?

Pls respond

>The Switch has more games released this week on the eshop alone that are actual great quality games

How does that change the fact that they're shitty games?

>If it's not on Nintendo console it's weebshit
Absolutely seething

>ragging on Lumines

He doesn't know.

You have no idea what you're talking about kid, it's almost cute.
