PC player whose last console was NES here
Can only afford to buy 1 console and games for it and keep PC as main platform. I want to play these exclusives:
>PS4:bloodborne, horizon, TLOU, persona 5, all uncharted games, yakuza 0
>switch: zelda, odyssey, mario + rabbids, xenoblade 2

Wat do? Also I'm not hyped for any upcoming switch games, while for ps4 ghost of tsushima, god of war, spider-man, rdr2 seem to be worth getting

>PC fag
>Also I'm not hyped for any upcoming switch games, while for ps4 ghost of tsushima, god of war, spider-man, rdr2 seem to be worth getting

Nice try Sonybro.

get xbox
forza and crackdown and pubg
we got all the exclusives

I'd say wait at least for the Nintendo direct and see what will be announced for this year.
If it's trash go for PS4 I guess

wait and save up for both

best advice i can give you: don't come to Sup Forums for your gaming advice.

but he isn't here for a gaming advice

Sony always wins.
*dabs*

Wait until the Nintendo Direct

Tlou and uncharted aren't that great so don't worry about them. Other than that, it really comes down to whether or not like you Nintendo's standard affair with their games, very fun but kinda shallow in everything else. Zelda and odyssey are both great must play games, xenoblade 2 and mario+rabbids are ok but if you skipped them you'd be fine. Bloodborne is amazing if you love souls games, though I don't personally think it's the best lots of people swear by it, same with persona 5. Yakuza 0 is amazing, and Horizon is decent but could be skipped.

Hope this helps user.

You can play the PS3 versions of TLOU, Uncharted, and Persona 5 on PC through emulation. You can play the Wii U version of Zelda on PC through emulation.

Get switch when there's a good custom firmware and hacking method out, no need to worry about money for the games.

You answered your own question. Althought you should probably wait for the Nintendo Direct this month, to see what else they announce. But it sounds like you should go with PS4.

what someone else said, wait for nintendo direct on the 11th to see what's up

Horizon and Uncharted aren't worth playing.
The Last of Us is ok, but your time can be better spent elsewhere.
Yakuza 0 is good.
Persona 5 is fantastic. Bloodborne is also fantastic but is the second worst in its series (but given how great Souls games are it's not a bad thing to say)

Breath of the Wild and Odyssey are both 10/10. I'm eh on Xenoblade 2 and Rabbids though.

>Last console was nes

I find that disproportionately hard to believe. Unless you mean you emulated everything else, then you should probably get going on a slew of other games first, and by the time you catch up you'll be able to afford both consoles and most games.

>all uncharted games

>Bloodborne is also fantastic but is the second worst in its series

wtf

Here's my advice OP, wait for the next Nintendo Direct (they always have one in January or sometimes February) and then pick based on what strikes your fancy. Between the two of them the Switch is less "PC-like" due to its hybrid portable nature.

Bloodborne is a much better game than Mario and BOTW combined

ex soviet country. we moved on from the nintendo to pc, almost nobody had any consoles

Dark Souls > Demon's Souls > Dark Souls III >= Bloodborne >>>> Dark Souls II

I like variety in my adventuring, most levels being dark city streets killed the vibe for me. There's no moment in it like, say, seeing Anor Londo for the first time.
I mean, Latria was great in Demon's but if 80% levels in the same game were like it it would suck.

Switch is viable if you skipped last gen and/or are Nintendo only. Their majority of titles are multiplats so get it only if the portability speaks to you. Also if you're mustard Cemu is making a lot of progress, I really don't see switch being justified for someone with gaming rig.

The PS4 has a lot you can play now, since it's been out for years.
The Switch will (hopefully) have a lot to come, with a decent amount to play now, given your list.

This is honestly a hard decision. I own and enjoy them both, but overall the Switch hasn't left as bitter a taste in my mouth, but it also hasn't had the time yet.

I disagree.

Seconding this + other anons who have said the same. Also while Sony tends to announce games years ahead of time, Nintendo mostly announces things a year or less before release with the exception of a few games that were pushed back like BotW. So just because they don't have games that interest you right now doesn't mean they won't soon.
As for exclusives:
Bloodborne is amazing and my favourite "soulslike". Uncharted doesn't have much gameplay and you could get a similar effect just watching the cutscenes on YT. Horizon is OK but not something I would buy a console for. Yakuza 0 is my favourite in the series tbqh.
BotW and Mario+Rabbids were really, really good, the latter being a hugely pleasant surprise in terms of how much I loved it. Odyssey was OK but not for me.
Haven't played XB2 or P5 so won't comment on them.
I find myself using my Switch more than my PS4 since its release.

was NES allowed in USSR?

I can't speak for that, I was born shortly after the fall of communism. But I am very aware how everything before that was made in soviet countries, nothing from the west or east entered. And after the fall, NES everywhere at the start of the 90s, but that was already outdated. The push came for computers for workplaces, and with everyone's father playing dadcore stuff like HOMM, AoE, Wolfenstein, we inherited those and mostly grew up on the formerly mentioned, then Blizzard games (Diablo, WC, SC), shooters (Quake, Half-Life, CS) and a lot of strategy. Consoles never had time to grow here. I only knew one friend who had a console - PS2.

You again?

They're equally great!

what's that figure?

Well, my advice is go for the system which more of the games you want to play and wait for the other one to drop in price and get it then.

Honestly, the only thing you need to play them all is a little patience.

I always like hearing about how the vidya market grew in different environments, thanks.

Lagia X Armor set from Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

Yes, millions of chinese knock-offs. They played perfectly fine tho.

Stop everything you're doing right now, download Cemu, and go play Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate.

I bet this is what NK kids play

unironically this

>not hyped for mp4 pokemon. Smt 5 bayonetta 3 travis strikes again
>Hyped for ass creed tsushima god of low effort action games bam ham spiderman

I can get red dead 3 but the rest you deserve a ps4

>Mfw I never beat Abyssal Lagiacrus

What was I supposed to do??

I tried mh4u for a few hours and I didn't really liked it, should I give another opportunity to the franchise?

>hype for pokemon
>the year 2018
Pokemon hasn't been good for shit in almost a decade.

use a dragon element lance

mh is one of those games were you genuinely have to give more than 10 or 15 hours to get into it. all of the good content is toward the endgame, that's where the really fun monster fights and armor sets with rewarding skills come in. you're gonna have to dredge through if you even want to know if it's the game for you.

PS4. Switch is great and all but there is so much more you're gonna be able to play on PS4. PS4 has the most exclusives and most exclusives planned for the future.

Really? I thought the variation in levels was very well done, and even areas that were both cities were in subtle ways very different in atmosphere.

Im not particularly optimistic myself but after that breath of the wild statement it will be interesting to see what happens.

>mh is one of those games were you genuinely have to give more than 10 or 15 hours to get into it. all of the good content is toward the endgame, that's where the really fun monster fights and armor sets with rewarding skills come in. you're gonna have to dredge through if you even want to know if it's the game for you.
Could he ask for a save that puts him right at the start of HR then or would that fuck him up too hard for not getting used to the game by getting there himself?

If you aren't a big enough nintendo fanboy to already own a switch, its not for you. Every game anyone cares about are all the basic nintendo franchises. PS4 has and will have way more variety in games.

I recommend Uncharted 2 & The Lost Legacy since they have the best pacing.
The other ones while good just have some scenarios that feel like a drag at times.

nintendo has more quality and playstation has more quantity

Yes we do baby *dabs*

congrats on destroying yet another thread

>Cats
Why haven't we rounded up those traitors and broken each of their fucking bones yet?

Beats me. They are such fucking shit pets.

Not him but i agree with him. from yharnam to yahar'gul everything feels pretty much the same, and even once you get into the building in nightmare of mensis it's the same stoney aesthetic again. Everything really felt really really samey or just flat out uninteresting. It felt atmospheric but it didn't feel interesting. The game really didn't click with me and become amazing until I got to Fishing Hamlet, and Fishing Hamlet blew the doors off for me. That setting was an absolute masterpiece. The soft blue and yellow was such a welcomed contrast from everything else up to it.

I kind of do and don't recommend that. The game probably hits stride once you start making more armor sets and getting addicted to crafting them, so hacking a save file might get you to the point where you can get interesting sets but he might be at the wrong skill level.

Maybe its because I have a job and am over the age of 20, but I still don't get how people on Sup Forums get their panties in a twist over employed, married, adults being happy about videogames.

What do people on Sup Forums think adults do with their free time anyway? Because I'll tell you from experience, its pretty much, get drunk, watch tv, or play videogames.

I meant what was I supposed to do against triple whirlpool, AOE all the time bullshit

Kinda. It was called the Dendy, a psudo licensed Famicom, but it was far too expensive for the average household, so everyone bought Chinese bootleg units.

use a dragon element lance and block all that shit.

There were several "oh wow" moments in BB though, like the nightmare frontier. I mean, I get that if you straight up dont like Gothic Architecture, it might get boring, but that was hardly the entire game.

i'd just hold out on the next iteration of the switch with better hardware. by then there will be more games too

Wait if the rainway app really makes it on the switch.
If it does, buy a switch.

Get a PS3 for $100 for TLOU, Uncharted 1 through 3, and Persona 5(and Yakuza 0 if you speak Japanese) and get a Switch instead.

>Don't get the best version of all of these games and get only the nintendo console not even games for it
Why?

Is rainway any better than LiquidSky? Lag seems to be the death of all these play over ip services.

>Wat do? Also I'm not hyped for any upcoming switch games, while for ps4 ghost of tsushima, god of war, spider-man, rdr2 seem to be worth getting

sounds like you want a PS4, why are you being an idiot by asking?

I don't know.
I would probably just use it at home for in home streaming. If it is good and you already have a pc, this would be the best combo

TLOU and Uncharted run at good framerates now?

If you want more games for the PS4 then get a PS4. Personally I'm a Nintendo guy myself, but just buy what you like.

kek

PCfag here, I just got a Switch a month ago and it's the best console I've played since the PS2. I can really only recommend that.

PS4 isn't really worth it, unless you seek cinematic games where you don't have to think too much.

I've been Nintendo P.C. for like 15 ish years. There is literally no reason to get a Sony platform. Most PS games cross over to PC. All you'd be missing out on are shitty movie games.

i hope spider-man has razorback ;_;

lmao wanna play bloodborne? oh wait

Didn't the Soviet Union had a huge MSX userbase? Did they ever get the MSX2?

no idea what that even is

>bloodborne, horizon, TLOU, persona 5, all uncharted games, yakuza 0
one good game
>switch: zelda, odyssey, mario + rabbids, xenoblade 2
two good and two god games

The choice is really that simple.

What do you expect us to do? You obviously did some research and listed the games you want. There's one thing you absolutely shouldn't do and it's listening to fucking Sup Forums. It's a den of brand loyal faggots that will flat out lie about their sworn enemy companies and sing you sweet lies about their own. You have the list of games you want, go from there. You'll be obviously biased towards some of them, if you have a PC you can also try to emulate zelda and persona 5 already, if you haven't.

Picture this user you like video games right that's nice what if you go to a vacation or someone's house well the switch can help you with that what about the PS4? Well you can stay at home like you used to with your PC that's all sounds fine but you want to do the same thing over and over? It's your choice

>2 games
lmao

>a single meme game
lmao
