I just want a fun fps that isn't Counterstrike. It's only fun in spurts, but Overwatch offers variety. I don't enjoy playing competetively. I just like getting on and fragging until I get bored and move on.

There's no good FPS out. I've worn out from TF2 and counterstrike. I can bounce from Overwatch to paladins and maybe dirty bomb and be alright

If you after a game to fuck around in for a few hours Zombie Panic Source is enjoying a bit of a revival and it's free. Also Fortnite is free if you want to try the battle royale fad and get bored.

Absolutely. The character mechanics are fun and varied but the game is so reliant on team-composition it feels like you're straight up not allowed to play sometimes. Its why I'm only doing DM these days

I play almost nothing else but deathmatch now. If anything, it shows how broken Moira currently is.

I don't know if I've ever seen a post on Sup Forums about balance or just high level play in general for a competitive game, even one as casual as Overwatch, that was even close to being worthwhile.

People are so triggered by the notion that you enjoy playing a little bit of Overwatch every now and again (and furthermore they almost ALWAYS suggest TF2 instead like they're super similar games, they really aren't.)

Overwatch's whole shtick is that heroes play pretty differently, for all of the problems with obsessively chasing e-sports it has, it's enjoyable to play casually. Ana is one of the most enjoyable healers I've ever played in a shooter. Skating on walls with Lucio going faster than most of the cast and saving the entire team with a wellt-timed ult or sound boost is fun. Like everything about Sombra is fun.

TF2's competitive isn't exactly a shining example to compare it to, half of the class is only really there in modes where it HAS to be there like highlander.

Dirty bomb isn't really a hero shooter. It's just basically a shooter with some light abilities on top. Classes, not heroes. It's closer to battlefield

Also I've played Fistful of frags, which got old. CSGO, CSS, CS 1.6. All Battlefield games up to 3. Toxikk (which died fast) Quake, and Unreal tournament (which is dead, sadly)

hanzo ult is easy to avoid if you CAN SEE IT. There are moments when you straight up can't avoid it if he's close enough or he shoots it through walls and you happen to run into it

Yes, that's just what some people don't want, including me. If I play an online game, I just want to relax and pass the time for a few hours. Have some fun with friends and then move on to something else. And Overwatch is pretty great for that.

I know there's highly competitive games with much higher skill ceiling, that require a lot of focus and knowledge, but I don't care about them. I used to care when I was younger, now, I don't have neither the time nor the interest in them. I am, and always will be a singleplayer guy. Online games are just like a silly hobby to me now. Siege is really great mechanically though, I wish it had coop campaigns and stuff like that.

Sure you can die to it on accident because you're deaf or whatever but basically it has to be done with grav or you have to get headshot by the actual arrow to die to it.

Overwatch isn't skill based it is completely strategic. It requires more thinking that actual skill. You don't have to aim or anything you just need to understand the game. Which is why the game is so toxic, brainlet retards come into the game expecting call of duty that they can play with their friends and just not think, but that is the opposite of how the game works. So there is a huge divide between people who understand how the game works and people who don't. That's what causes all the rage in the game. If you want a game where you can turn your brain off then play call of duty.

Ehhhh, maintaining perfect aim as a DPS like 76 and getting that super high headshot ratio you need to compete at higher levels is more difficult than people like to say.

I'm not saying that I completely turn my brain off. I'm simply saying I'm not competitive about it. I try to play as best as I can, trying to pick what I think the team needs and attempting good teamwork, specially when I'm playing with friends. And honestly I think I'm fairly good at the game. That doesn't mean I need to take it super seriously and be super competitive about it. I play to have fun, whether I win or lose.

Just so you understand me, I've played almost 400 hours and not even once have I played Competitive. Why would I?
