This game's too scary
This game's too scary
>so(n)yboys
I think scary is the wrong word but there's a lot of theming stuff I don't like about it. A lot of things are too loud, unnecessarily, like the birds and the dogs. And there's a little but too much of the "thirteen year old's drawing notebook" nonsense.
>This is my character he can heal any of his wounds but only after he takes the blood of his enemies he killed and he takes it and he stabs himself with the blood into his blood to heal himself
It's dumb. I mean it's whatever because I do occasionally get the feeling that it's kinda supposed to be over the top, but a lot of it doesn't seem intentionally ridiculous and just comes across as immature.
It's boring. Looks boring. Most bosses are boring. Hunter fights are broken and boring. Hardly any PvP. All it has over any other From game is it's gimmicks.
Upper Cathedral Ward 10/10 atmosphere
"Hardly any PvP"
Upper Cathedral and Hypogeon Gaol are 10/10 simply because they're the only areas that have their own music.
honestly this
i was scared of every new corner i took
it works though
Well I remember shitting myself at that one werewolf in old yharnam that breaks through the door
...
The game gets considerably less scary the longer you play it. Firstly because the levels become less "Horror" themed with spooky men jumping out of corners and shit, and secondly because you start to actually get strong enough to feel like you can reasonably defend yourself
I don't think scary is the word. More like unsettling. It works so well though.
It's the scariest area thread now. Orphanage is the scariest imo.
Hi, PCLard.
They were great. You appreciate BB's sound design in areas with no music, though. Especially when you wear headphones.
You're not qualified to be a Hunter then.
The werewolf jumping on the chandelier and that entire area is 10/10
>Upper Cathedral
The wolf beasts dropping down on the chandelier and making the whole area dark, those little fucker wanting to give you the succ, man blodborne sure was a great experience.
I don't know about scary, but the soundtrack of ambient screams gets old after 200 hours.
Atmospheric As Fuck.
fuck these assholes
>subjective, no explanation
>subjective (shit taste)
>subjective (also shit taste)
>I'll concede Hunters have too much health, but "boring" is still subjective
>being a PvP fag
>name 3 "gimmicks"
>After 200 hours.
...
...
>hardly any pvp
>can't go online in mensis because of ringer faggots
I don't really get this vibe
delet
Guns, Trick Weapons, Rally
He said gimmicks user, try again.
Don't own a gaming PC just a PS4 and X1.
We're never getting a sequel, are we?
>He doesn't know
Chalice Dungeons are pretty spooky. They're deep underground and are thousands of years old.
Last time I got scared by a video game was like SH3 back then
Kinda miss the feeling
Chalice Dungeons are pretty boring. They repeat themselves and are pretty shitty
especially cursed ones
Hypogeon is terrifying with that music when you first go there early on.
I agree. Stopped at Blood-starved beast because the environment is just too damn unsettling. It has one of the best combat that I've played though. Killed Cleric Beast with 2 tries and Gascoigne with 3 and this is my first soulsborne game. Should I still continue the game? I would really love to but shit is too scary for a pussy like me.
Hypogeon gaol is terrifying with that music when you first go there early on.
Pull yourself together user, it's worth it
You meme but one small issue I have with the game is the total lack of contrast. There are no scenes of regular life to remind you of just how nightmarish the world is. You can never imagine a society or a child or a butterfly or happiness ever existing at all in this game. It's like a fallout game but no humans or civilization remaining. If EVERYTHING is spooky, nothing is.
It's just dark. 24/7 dark and gloom. I wish there were enough lightness and echoes of normal actual life to actually highlight the amazing darkness that they created. The horror effect would be greatly enhanced in my opinion (and more amazing) if they allowed for just a bit of contrast in the scenery.
Hypogeon gaol is terrifying with that music when you first go there early on.
>offline till area she spawns
>exit game and go online again
>kill her when she spawns
wow so hard
Alternatively
>stop being a pussy and worrying about confrontation
>hardly anyone invades in this game anyways since its fucking stupid on how it works
>300+ hours on my main save ive encountered maybe 10 invasions all together
>
>Play the game when I have someone right beside me like friend/family
>feel confident and no longer scared
>Do a good job and can read enemies well
>play alone
>Get extremely cautious
>hands is shaking and feels cold
>panic and just roll the fuck everywhere without attacking
>"YOU DIED"
I-I'll try again...
>300 hours
fuck off casual scum
I'll come over and watch you play if it helps you get your shit together dude.
I live in a shithole though and I need to stop being a fucking pussy. I'm doing my best to play the game without freaking out though it is not going well. I'll get used to this game right?
I just beat the Shadows of Yharnam after working my way through the Forbidden Forest. Making my way into Byrgenworth now. Keep going user its worth it.
You either do or you don't man. Up to you
Once you master the mechanics and upgrade your weapons enough, these monsters will be the ones who's afraid
Time to man the fuck up. It's just a game and there's no need to be scared. Wish me luck.
Fuck the snakes,
Fuck the upper Cathedral
Fuck the LALALALA
And Fuck the Chalices
The research Hall has the best atmosphere in the game. Tied first with Tower of Latria (3-1) in all of soulsbourne to me.
For me in BB it's the nightmare frontier : It feels like a post apocalyptic world in an another dimension.
Bloodborne for life
