Axiom Verge physical
Nothing, too busy with school
Nothing announced is very exciting desu. Yoshi games usually pleasantly surprise me so there's that
I'd really like a proper, microtransaction-free, full-fledged animal crossing
>its not a soy beverage
Legit surprised.
>Bought?
MK8DX
>Playing?
MK8DX
>Hype?
Excited to try out Dark Souls, never actually played the first one. Maybe DKTP if it's cheap.
>Dream port/sequel?
Animal Crossing
>Mario and Rabbids
>Mario and Rabbids

I'm getting mine this week lads. Just one question. Neon or Grey?
I feel that Neon only looks really good when it's strapped to the Switch, when it's on a controller it sticks out, like the dock needs to be colorful as well.
On the other hand Grey is slick and works in any way with the system, but it's kinda bland, and I like the colors on the Neon.
What's that drink?
>What was your most recent purchase?
Revelations 1
>What are you playing?
BOTW (Bit bored of it now, I want a casual fun game to play while listening to youtube and TV, any ideas? Bit burnt on Stardew as it feels like a chore and minecraft is so fucking boring, no goals)
>What is the game from the ones already announced you are most looking forward to buying?
Hyrule Warriors
>Dream Port or Sequel?
Fallout NV
Grey, having each of the controllers colored differently is fucking stupid.
I personally like the Neon better.
>What was your most recent purchase?
Resident Evil Revelations digital cause Revelations 2 is ass.
>What are you playing?
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
>What is the game from the ones already announced you are most looking forward to buying?
Pokemon, as pathetic as it may sound it is one of the main reason i bought a Switch in the first place. And for the inevitable Smash game of course. Besides that, there's nothing really interesting coming. Maybe just maybe i could end up buying Doom and Outlast but im not sure yet. Hopefully, the real Nintendo Direct comes soon.
>Dream Port or Sequel?
I really hope what the Reddit leaker said is true and GTA V and Red Dead Redemption end up coming to the Switch. But i would really like Resident Evil 7 or Dragon Ball FighterZ to get ported too.
>Xenoblade Chronicles 2
>Xenoblade Chronicles 2
>Metroid Prime 4
>A Hat in Time
Grey, the replace with custom shell.
The dark red Mario ones look really fucking good.
I like better Neon because its more colorful
Have any of you guys ever got the "Unable to Charge" message when you plug your switch in?
I'm scared.
Try a different charger
>Fire Emblem Warriors
>Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
>Dark Souls Remaster, or Ys VIII

can we just go one fucking thread without this shit, couldn't even last a single post.
...
Xenoblade 2
Nothing
None specifically
W102,xenoblade x2, f zero switch, rune factory 5
Stop giving him (you)s
Does Xenoblade 2 really looks like ass in handheld mode? Ive been looking to buy a JRPG on the Switch
I don't have one at the moment but I'll definitely give it a shot tomorrow
in busy areas it can look pretty fucked especially because of the sharpening filter
What about TV Mode
During an intense battle yeah, resolution tanks to PSP tier shit
I don't have a TV or monitor so I just play it plugged in, feels like it stays at 720p then
X2
X2
VC4
Miku games, RF games
>Pokken Tournament
>Pokken Tournament
>Dark Souls Remastered
>the rest of the souls trilogy would be nice
no one told me how fun pokken was and i’m a little upset.
Still 720p with some blurry anti-aliasing and sharpening on top of it but it looks a lot better on TV when docked
I hope Nintendo make a Switch 2 or something using the Tegra X2. Or maybe a dock with an external GPU. Dunno how the Switch is wired by a Type C port can do thunderbolt and I'm sure Nvidia would be more than happy to sell Nintendo some MX150s
>most recent purchase
Mario Odyssey, though I've finished it and want something else to play
>What are you playing
I guess Odyssey, though right now I'm playing through Pikmin 3 on my wiiu some
>most looking forward to buying
Kirby: Star Allies and DKCTF
>dream port
Pic related, with Pikmin 1 and 2 remade in 3's engine
>dream sequel
Pikmin 4
I'm still waiting for the actual Direct
I don't really need new games but I need the Virtual Console, the Switch is the perfect emulation machine and it's a damn shame they've waited this long to announce it's emulation service
It looks like ass in docked mode. In handheld mode it looks N64 tier. I'm not sure why the game is so much uglier than Xeno X, artstyle preferences aside.
Don't all the shells and skins literally melt the console at this point?
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Dragon Quest Demo
Metroid Prime 4
Sequel. I'm not entirely against ports but I'm ready for some more new games.
>What was your most recent purchase?
Xenoblade chronicles 2
>What are you playing?
Disgaea 5. Really enjoying it so far
>What is the game from the ones already announced you are most looking forward to buying?
TWEWY
>Dream Port or Sequel?
TWEWY so I'm very happy
>still haven't 999 in Mario
>barely got anywhere in Zelda
>playing Puyotetris and Mariokart occasionally
>want to buy Xenoblade but not before I at least beat Zelda
>thinking about buying Darkest Dungeon again
this is probably the first console I've been satisfied with since the PS2.
I hope we get a Story of Seasons/Rune factory for it at some point.
A custom shell is literally replacing the plastic housing
Adhesive on custom skins damaged the original plastic housing because it was soy based instead of petroleum based or something
>I hope Nintendo make a Switch 2 or something using the Tegra X2
Maybe in 7 or 8 years pal
Recently bought, and am currently playing, BotW but I'm having trouble getting into it. Does it get ore fun than this? Because right now every weapon feels like shit and when I actually get a good one it breaks faster than the fucking shit ones. Also I have no fucking clue where to actually go or what places will just instantly wreck my shit.
>Oddysey on release
>Nothing
>Only Pokémon
>New smash bros
If they're going to use the Tegra X2, it will most likely be in next console after Switch. If there will be a revision that cucks early adopters, they'll probably make it 4 or 5 years from now.
Nintendo makes new variants of their handhelds within a few years, and with how fast mobile tech moves I can see them doing the same with the Switch
I mean it's the hottest trend with current gen consoles, evolutionary like PCs instead of revolutionary like in the past
I have an MX150 laptop, it's not great.
I know optimization goes a long way but I think it's either tegra or nothing for the switch.
I also highly HIGHLY doubt the USB-C port is thunberbolt 3 capable.
Only BoTW and Switch so far but looking forward to DS and Bomberman is next up on my list.
I've noticed that about a few Switch games, they're really meaty content wise. I have all 999 moons, but it took me like, a month in a half. I haven't played a Mario game for more than a month since 64. It took me a month or so to get to Ganon, and now I'm replaying it a second time trying to beat him before getting all divine beasts. Don't even get me started on Xenoblade. I'm only about 45 hours in and have a long way to go. I plan on getting DQ Builders for this bad boy too.
>What was your most recent purchase?
XBC2
>What are you playing?
MK8D and Splat 2 although should go back to XBC2 to finish it considering I was almost done when I took my break
>What is the game from the ones already announced you are most looking forward to buying?
Metroid Prime 4
>Dream Port or Sequel?
Super Punch Out Switch
4 years isn't too bad. In the 90s our computers that we spent thousands on were totally obsolete in like 2 years
Graceful Explosion Machine
BoTW and Odyssey*
very classy.
Looks fine, plays fine, just lower res, overall the game has a load of fancy visual features.
Not a cover a replacement shell, you can get like indigo and spice colours, shits cash.
The physical port is more than capable of handling Thunderbolt 3, it's on plenty of laptops already. The Switch probably doesn't have it though
I think New 3DS was the same, about 4 or 5 years after release. I have one myself, though sadly the new tech doesn't get much use. They mostly just make regular 3DS games for it.
>I mean it's the hottest trend with current gen consoles, evolutionary like PCs instead of revolutionary like in the past
True but this is Nintenod we are talking about so don't expect a more potent Switch revision until much much later if not never. The most you can expect is a New Switch ala New 3DS but even then remember the New 3DS got like only 1 exclusive
>Xenoblade(not really feeling it)
>Mariokart 8 deluxe
>Very excited for fire emblem
>Give me a new 3d platformer
>soytendo switch
lmaoing @ u
>I want a casual fun game to play while listening to youtube and TV, any ideas?
That is MK8D for me. Just a few random matches online or agaisnt the PC to pass the time. Not sure if that is casual though.
Thanks man. I hope the thread can forgive me because that carbmaster milk isn't actually soymilk.
I know thunberbolt can work over USB-C and that's how some eGPU encolsures work already, it's just that I'm sure the Switch just uses a standard data+video+power USB-C.
The New 3DS got cucked. Other consoles like the PS4 Pro have stuff like nicer textures that you can disable in exchange for higher frame rates
I legit miss Japan. I want to go back and buy that cold coffee shit again.
I love my Switch! Now I can play Skyrim anywhere. Even if I have an arrow in my knee! XD
Switch is basically smartphone tech, so it obsolete in even faster rate.
I hope they go through with modular console design rather than nSwitch.
Yeah probably. I still want to believe that a future revision could add it
>What was your most recent purchase?
Retro City Rampage

DARKEST DUNGEON HOLY SHIT IT LOOKS SO FUN
>Dream Port or Sequel?
XBX, Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101
I also want pikmin 4
>Played Zelda, Mario and Xenoblade
>waiting for CFW and XBX/TMS#FE ports
Iunno man, my last phone lasted me years. Switch can easily last longer with it's only running games designed specifically for it and not random mobile shit that farms your data
It's hard to tell this time around because Switch isn't your traditional handheld. They're treating it like a home console. I could see something like Switch mini or Switch XL in 2 years or so, but a new version with games exclusive to it would probably be longer. Assuming they do that of course.
ACA NeoGeo Top Hunter Roddy & Cathy
Splatoon 2 for Splatfest
Dark Souls Remastered
Wonderful 101 sequel, Viewtiful Joe ports, Hotline Miami
I feel like I'm playing Zelda completely wrong at all times.
>try exploring and wasting time

>look up guide after getting absolutely shat on
>everyone has 10 times as many hearts and all these high level weapons
>I'm somehow supposed to have way more than 3 hearts to just do the first quest that appears on the map
bought a switch just to play 3rd strike ask me anything
>X2
>Next console
Nope, whatever comes after volta or the one after that is the switchs next soc, probably built with switch in mind too.
X1 was a 2015 soc, so why would nintendo use a 2017 soc in what will more than likely be a 2021+ console, you also have to remember that nvidia are now closely tied to the hardware and will probably make a tegra model built around the needs of the switch.
...Iced coffee, you mean?
H-huh, y-yeah! (English is not my first language)
>X1 was a 2015 soc, so why would nintendo use a 2017 soc in what will more than likely be a 2021+ console,
Because they're Nintendo, the same company that used the Hollywood chip in 2006. The question shouldn't be why would they use such outdated tech, but rather why wouldn't they?
MWHAhaaa the frenssh cchampagne has always been noted, for it's excellence
he's probably european.
I remember when I went to europe and I couldn't get an iced coffee anywhere.
I even ended up buying this gross coffee yogurt drink, they just don't know what it is over there.
mobile chipsets move pretty fast in terms of development, i’m sure we’ll eventually get a “new” nintendo switch that can play games at better quality and will have very few exclusives. don’t think we’ll get an actual successor until the market actually forces it which will probably be later than 2020.
Battle Chef Brigade, love the art althought the animations could use more frames/combat feels a little floaty
Battle Chef Brigade, Xenoblade 2, Stardew Valley, Fire Emblem Warriors
I don't think there was anything announced during the direct I don't want to play besides maybe that Rabbids DLC.
Bayonetta 2 is probably my most anticipated though since I never had a Wii U to play it.
The only thing I can think of is Megaman Legends 3 or a proper Dragon's Dogma 2
Whoops, wrong reply
Digital: Tiny Metal Physical: Mario + Rabbids.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
SMT V, and Pokemon
Tokyo Mirage Sessions and Monster Hunter World
Currently learning Japanese to teach English and maybe work and live there. Living in Japan sounds comfy.
Well, Thunderblight Ganon is the hardest boss of all 4. Usually people fight him last or after defeating 2 divine beasts. You want to talk about wrong, I was challenging silver lynels right after I did Vah Medoh.
>inb4 a million people "warn" you how awful it is
it's work and it's not easy but don't trust in the horror stories.
Thunderblight is by far the most difficult Divine Beast fight user. Save him for last if you can't brute force your way now with food items. Go do Vah Medow.
...
Why not trust them when they're true? We may as well be honest with him, Japan isn't a fucking fairyland.
t. guy who worked and lived there.
I kinda given up on long jRPGs simply because I don't have the time anymore. But the switch being portable has really given me time to play during work. I work as a nurse so I'm surrounded by young woman, 3 of them bought switches after seeing mine. My only hope is a switch xl with bigger screen and longer battery life.
>>What was your most recent purchase?
Odyssey
>What are you playing?
BotW, Mario Kart 8, and Odyssey
>What is the game from the ones already
announced you are most looking forward to buying?
Tropical Freeze, didn't get a chance to play it on the Wii Woo
>Dream Port or Sequel?
The Mortal Kombat series, specifically 9
Hyrule Warriors looks fun but I imagine they'll make a couple sequels to it with more characters/stages so I don't wanna buy it just yet.
Replacing the shell voids your warranty
>I could see something like Switch mini or Switch XL in 2 years or so, but a new version with games exclusive to it would probably be longer. Assuming they do that of course.
I hope not, is obvious Nintendo has drop the Handheld market and is now focusing on a Hybrid experience. Mobiles have taken over and i prefer Nintendo to focus on the Switch and not try to make a new proper handheld
what are your thoughts on japanese third-party developers being shook by switch's success and them still not bringing their shit except ports
I don't really miss Japan as much I miss aspects of it. The shinkansen were legit comfy.
Because you replied to the wrong post and nvidia are doing the work now.
A tegra soc is a complete package.
>Pokken a few weeks ago
>Spla2n recently due to the splatfest, but maybe pokken or xc2 later
>The direct? I dunno
>Crystal Chronicles
it's not a fairyland but it's not as bad as people say either, people exagerate all negatives to try and counteract the misconception that it's perfect over there.
I was warned harshly about how awful teaching over there was supposed to be and that I was just a naive weeb or something.
It's not, it's a fantastic experience and a great country.
Just temper your expectations without being unreasonably cynical. You're not going to Disneyland or Skidrow.
>bong in reflection
Just too much
>>What was your most recent purchase?
Super Meat Boy
>>What are you playing?
Xenoblade Chronicles 2

Fucking Metroid.
>>Dream Port or Sequel?
I'm dying for a new Animal Crossing. If not that, then I'd really love for an Overwatch port.
Anyone here ever play The Escapists 2? Is it worth the purchase? Especially since I wanna play it with my gf. What about Worms WMD? I'm interested in that as well.
