I mean...its a dragon ball game, what did you really expect?
It's not disappoint if we don't expect too much in first place.
I think it is fun
It's incredibly fun, why do people keep meming that it's bad?
Capcom shills.
I'll never know because the beta refuses to put me in a match.
AE coming out soon, ArcSys releasing a superior tag fighter. You tell me, brother.
>I let e-celebs tell me whats good
Capcom defense force, they mobilize from their own personal defense force discord
because its a game people are excited for. what else are people who won't play it do except shitpost it into oblivion?
>ArcSys shills
lmao
defend this
In an actual match that shit never happens. You'd have to be going out of your way trying just to get the dragon balls, and sacrificing any decent offense by wasting your confirms on the shitty auto combo.
Not to mention you need to be sitting on 7 bars even after getting all the dragon balls, and intentionally not using any meter for that long while just using auto combo is moronic. You'd need that revived character or second burst because you'd be getting your ass kicked so badly trying to get the wish against anything except the scrubbiest players around.
What's there to defend? It's a mechanic you will literally never see. Who the shit is going to get off SEVEN auto combos in any somewhat competitive match? It's a complete non-factor for pros, just stupid shit for normies to have fun with
Eight auto-combos, even. And the last one will need you to be on 7 bars. You'd have to be playing as shitty as possible without actually losing to do it.
wtf how small are the arenas
You keep glossing over the fact that you can get Dragon Balls without doing the shitty autocombos, also remember that Max was desperately shilling for Infinite for fucking months.
We don't really know the other ways for sure right now, though. It might have to do with combo hit count, or it might be something else. Or each ball has its own condition.
He still likes Infinite a lot in terms of pure gameplay, btw. Just still disappointed with the roster and artstyle like everyone else.
What the fuck does max have to do with the dragon Ball mechanic?
If you care about max so much look at the video, he says himself it's a complete non factor
They're pretty big, what you're seeing is a wall bounce. It's an anime fighter thing that lets you do juggle combos. If they walked normally the stage would keep scrolling
user you could try reading the fucking tutorial like Max refused to. I personally don't care because in all my ranked matches, even the close ones that were drawn out, I haven't gotten more than 5 balls. And that includes a match where someone was mashing out square autocombos.
The tutorial just says to do the autocombo.
I think you might have misread my post. Yes, we all know it's autocombo and that you won't get it in a match. But it does seem there are other methods of getting it that are more involved than the autocombo.
This game is so fucking fun
It's been such a long time since I had fun in a fighting game
>you could try reading the fucking tutorial like Max refused to
Is this guy some sort of DSP ?
user it's fucking explained, hit the options button like Max refused to. That's the part that pissed me off.
Think about it, though. Why would he do the tutorial? He's literally played this game more than anyone outside of the company that made it, and they've given him direct hands-on at the events. Including showing him the dragon ball system behind closed doors so he couldn't talk about it until now.
Now, him not doing the tutorial in Budokai 3 while chat was screaming at him to do so, or at least read what they were saying about how some of the mechanics work while he was going "I don't get it, how do I do a dragon rush?" for like 20 minutes is not excusable.
because you are just pressing buttons
prove it
WOW DUDE I WAS PRESSING BUTTONS
how bad is dsp at this
The method seems to be any combo that is an interval of 7. That shit isn't likely to happen either.
Its sad that they had to go with auto combos but i bet thats due to the Xenoverse community not able to understand a basic fighter.
The game is visually amazing and fan service is A+.
All you can really hope for is a sequel that actually has a combo system. If not this is the closest to a traditional fighter next to Super DBZ on PS2.
are you stupid
>arcsys making two games that are guaranteed to get review bombed by normalfags with no interest in fighting games
I hope they learn their lesson
Why do Captards want everyone to play Shit Fighter 5?
What's the lesson?
Keep making original games instead of getting randoms licenses to pander to normalfags that have never played a fighter and will hate whatever you put out
Not surprised.
I don't trust any AAA game producers thanks to GTA's problems and the let down that was Watch Dogs.
Bring on Game Industry crash 2018.
Drain the Game Industry swamp.
Do Ginyu and his target keep their real win animations after a body change?
I warned you Fagonball Pee n*ggers that this game was trash.
>it's a party game like tr4sh
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
*breathes in*
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
atleast SF pros get paid to hate it what is your excuse?
It's amazing how much one guy can shape the oppinion on a game just by spamming.
They did autocombos in P4A, and those games were very good.
I'm not sure what you mean about it not having a combo system, though. This isn't like Extreme Butoden where everyone literally has the same one button strings with nothing else. Using the autocombos as your primary combo source is guaranteed to get you fucked up in an actual match unless it's against someone also doing that.
youtube.com
And this is without access to a proper training mode in the beta.
my excuse is that its a shitty game
its not even out yet
Probably because your shit at them.
Auto-combos are literally not a problem. Come back when various block strings are going to become automated.
But the reception has been incredibly positive? Stop being a memeing loser and go play some video games.
*auto-combos you*
You aren't forced to use autocombos dumbass, you can do custom combos like in any other fighting game
*holds down back*
*punishes your heavy*
*stops auto-combo at 2nd hit*
*auto-combos you again*
*hold down back untill you cancel the second hit*
*throw in a jab*
*auto-combos you*
This. Did people actually expect a fucking Dragonball game to be deep? It's fun and that's exactly what peveryone wanted from it.
*cancels the 2nd auto-combo hit to overhead special*
BBBBBBUY INFINITE
*vanishes behind u*
nothin personnel kid
*auto-combo*
*assist*
Repeat..
*backdashes*
Are the backdashes even good in this game? Didn't have the chance to try them out in a match
yeah but that's negative, and you can punish pretty hard hard people who autopilot it
*gets hit by vanish*
And I think we've proven auto-combos are useful at this point. Thanks for the scenario user.
*calls in assist to punish backdash*
No idea. Lab time all day when its finally out.
What the cancel? Depends on which cancel you do. There's also assist to make everything safe/plus.
Are auto combos really stressful or are people just memeing? I mean in KOF 14 for example they were useless.
>£45 on steam
>£36 on cdkeys
wtf
Shitters who think combos mean a lot are just afraid they'll start losing online.
Same case in this
Some auto-combos have special normals in them, so some of them are handy for situations. But, beside their utility for special normals / Shenron, their damage will always be sub-optimal.
>What the cancel? Depends on which cancel you do. There's also assist to make everything safe/plus.
No assist will make that fat, juicy lvl 3 not hit.
But then, it's still some basic RPS you see in other fighting games. No followup and stay minus? Follow up that's unsafe on block but combos? Ressources?
You have the exact same kind of scheme when Sol does 2D on block against you on Guilty Gear.
>$80 leaf bucks on steam
help
>150 br bucks on Steam
>250 br bucks on PS4
I imagined that was case, no way Arcsystem will be really that retard to make autocombos OP, they've learned a little bit with their past kusoge stuff
Not really sure where you're going with this, kinda confused. All I'm saying is auto-combos have their use depending on how you use them along with resources. Experienced players that know how to punish them will get tripped if you decide to use them in a way where the intended punish suddenly fails. Then they'll know about that too and the mind-games/yomi set in.
Still not sure about their use in other things so I'm waiting on release to fully lab them. They all have their own animation so they might make certain combos possible or they might not. I'm withholding final verdict until then.
Sorry, I meant same case that they were shit and you'd basically lose damage doing them vs an optimized meterless
I...is this toaster friendly.
My PC couldn't run SFV properly.
>plays new beta
>shits on it saying it has no depth
>says marvel is a better game on all accounts
its over bros
Oh, I thought you were a memer about "muh autopiloting spamming autocombos is viable and safe". So I tried to explain some shit
>maintenance warning no longer showing up
>back to failed to initialize network instead
Fuck this beta
You guys are practicing combos right? You aren't actually so bad you're still at the level where people use the auto one?
>matchmaking still refuses to put me in a game
Its all good, maybe I wasn't clear with how I formed my posts. Hope I can find some dirty stuff with auto-combos and everything else the game offers.
MvC Infinite sucked.
I got that game for $10 and I still felt it wasn't worth it.
is that using the whole medium auto combo in the middle of a combo trick? Haven't had a chance to try it out yet
>sale on psn
>base game with 30 fighters is 24£
>season pass of 6 characters is 15$ (discounted from 24£)
mfw
>capshill said a not-capcom gae is bad
Wow
He's more like Marvelshill, he hates SF V.
Also is the roster fully revealed?
disappointment? this is one of th best fighting games in the last 10 years you cuckozoid
Just press back so autocombos arent forced LMAOO
But autocombos have different animations/startups so you are forced to do them in some scenarios
>p4a games
>Very good
Ok i like this dragon ball game but lets not be braindead for the sake of defending it.
>defend this
OK, if you really think it happens that frequently you clearly haven't even played the game. Proving that you are in fact a shit poster posting about a game you haven't even played.
Is this game an actual disappointment or a Sup Forums disappointment? Because those are two different things
Sup Forums realized way too many people are excited for the game, so the contrarian switch turned on.
>52nd Dragonball game is also bad
You were surprised?
Game is simpler than I was expecting.
You can get a flashy fight but I feel like people will eventually tire of finding nothing new.
this
Depends if you're a casual fg player it's not a disappointment, otherwise
People just found out about sparkling blast loops.
>Sup Forums gets hyped for a fighting game
>game comes out
>turns out yes it is a fighting game
>Sup Forums gets upset because everyone here sucks at them and a new game isn't going to change that
Every time without fail.
>many critics point out several glaring flaws
>BUT IT'S FUN
>many critics point out several glaring flaws
like?
>"critics"
>none of them have ever touched a fighting game outside of Capcom ones competitively
