[Spoiler]The "what does it mean to be alive" be alive theme is pretty forced and not all the interesting, but the concept of AI manipulating reality in order to justify its continued existence (the dildo machines refusing to ever kill off the androids proper, and the androids faking that humans survived, keeping the conflict going indefinitely) seems actually pretty plausible[/spoiler]
