It was so cool in the face of so many faceless MMOs of the day. A persistent module was usually run by a single person or a small team that would listen to the community they created. It was like having friends.

Yes, unless you force them to do their job properly. Happened with Torment's EE. Avoided the fate of BG because the main creator of the original was keeping tabs to make sure they simply refresh it and not add any bullshit.

yea it is on high-res, just like windowed mode on high res. I don't remember the last time I ran a game in fullscreen and I sure as hell won't deal with it again

I'd buy it just so gamedevs know that a new Never Winter Nights will make money, I need a new DnD RPG. Div 2 was alright, but I miss the system and setting.

The multiplayer and modules were top notch too.

Honestly I played the ever loving fuck out of NWN way back when. Going to the vault thinking I was going to find stuff that 13 year olds like myself back then would have created only to find modules that could exist as expansion packs on their own. Then shit like CEP/PRC and other shit just made the game 100x better.

I would love if this brought some old module makers out of retirement and they finished up some of the unfinished series.

They're weird. BG1/2 EE were shit but got better with patches. IWD EE and Planescape are fine. Their standalone expansion is mechanically solid but has shit writing.

nah should still all be there if you remember the account name you used for gamespy and have the same CD key, I know because I stopped playing like 5+ years ago and started again a few months back and all my old stuff was there still. All characters and accounts are stored server side afaik and held to the specific CD key you used (If you don't have the CD key still you can go on there forum and request it gets reset by giving them your account name then you can log back in again).

I already got the Diamond version of the game for free. Why would I bother with this shit?
