Is this worth playing. I've heard it's hard to the point of being completely broken.

Sister?
It's a decent jrpg albeit a little cliched. It had a notoriously bad dub though. It wasn't hard.
The dub is shit so I would try emulated the one with the jap voices put in
youtube.com
>Let me heal you
>Yes, please
its alright
Play the Undub version cuz the dub is terrible.
And its a pretty legit jrpg. Never finished it cuz lost save but got really far in.
Theres some plot twists which makes it worthwhile.
The boss fights are hard but not brokenly difficult at all. It's a pretty decent game, you HAVE to either turn off voices or get the undub though.
My most hated game. The grind is horrible and tedius, and you practically need a walkthrough to finish it all. The boss battles aren't that good either. They're just boring patterns of stat buff, instakill that take hours.
Man, I love Yoshida's art style. I wish he would do designs for video games more.
MEESTER LARK! I HAFF NOW GOINGS TO MARKET TO FETCH MILKS FOR BREAKING FAST, IS THIS TRUE?
Broken? No. The game just expects you to use all your tools to fullest during boss fights
How do I beat Alf?, I stopped playing it a year ago because of him.
solid game
it does the cliche jrpg things right and offers a good challenge
get ready for one of the worst/funniest dubs ever tho
It's actually a really good console jrpg. The dub is really bad, so you can either enjoy how bad it is, or go undub.
I dunno the artists name, but it is the guy from eureka 7. I agree, he should do more, it's a unique style.
>is unavailable for many boss fights
what was the point of this character
Just beat it a few weeks ago, it's basically a turn-based Tales of game. Everything about the gameplay felt convenient though.
>game gives you an optional reference that explains what each and every stat and skill does all while linking you to other terms you might not know
Fucking every rpg should do this. Also game has some Luminous Arc cameos. Be sure to grab the undub iso.
Funniest part is, Xenoblade 2 has a even worse dub.
His name is Kenichi Yoshida. The fact that he did the character designs is the reason I was even interested in the game in the first place. It being an actually solid game was a stroke of luck.
It's a genuinely good RPG. Sadly it's overlooked.
I hated this trio so Goddamn much, but beating them felt amazing.
It wasn't released worldwide.
Get the undub.
Feels like a true (good) Tales experience with turn based combat.
The best part is how smooth the progression feels. The systems become more complex as you go along in a way that keeps you interested.
Do you have rufunga? Use her to heal from that attack he does to everyone. Also, position yourself so not all of your characters are in the same vicinity. I know it's harder to heal, but for God's sake you do not want everyone to be in the same area when he does holy blade.
It gets more complex, and they explain the mechanics well. Ironically enough they explain them better than a RPG from 2017 does.
Oh, I'm definitely playing this shit now. How's the actual game?
Every boss fight felt like the dev's were going "FUCK YOU" if you weren't prepaird or reading a guide. You have to always save and go back and save when you get to a new area or floor because there's almost no hint that you're going to get a boss fight right away. My face when
>"hmm there's a chest over there, guess I'll grab it then go back and sav..."
>NOPE
>Boss fight bitch
I will keep that in mind, thanks user.
Unironically my favorite Wii RPG
As you probably already know though the voice acting is fucking awful
Kenicjo Yoshida handling these designs is the only thing keeping this game on my backlog
Loved the game but it had the worse costume system I've ever seen in any game. You can collect and change character's costumes but its only for the stats menu and has no effect on anything else.
Admittedly the Xenoblade games are way more complex, but not explaining the mechanics is not quite but bothers me the most. The game needs some quality of life adjustments (stuff like enemy/drop lists with locations, help with identifying affinity targets, etc).
Play the undub. Great fucking RPG. Better to emulate it for CRISP 1080p visuals that the Wii didn't do justice for.
>The game needs some quality of life adjustments (stuff like enemy/drop lists with locations, help with identifying affinity targets, etc).
oh god this is still a problem? I was the death of me on the original because any fetch quest was a shitfest unless I had already gotten enough of the item by then by fighting random monsters
or fucking colony 6
