Finally, a fucking Halo thread that talks about Halo's future instead of talking about Halo 2 all the fucking time. So since the Flood are most likely making a return in Halo 6, will the Master Chief meet both the Didact and Mendicant Bias to help deal with Cortana and then the Flood since they have knowledge of the Flood?

It's an ancient Gravemind yes it's actually a precursor who was corrupted and is technically part of the Flood, but chose to keep it's original body and shape, Mendicant Bias was incharge of questioning it for answers to the Flood, however as it answered it questioned why Bias was defending the Forerunners and not letting the Flood seek vengeance and justice after the crimes they comitted on his kind. and I think it's in a sitting position.

Halo 2 and 3 are the only halo games to achknowledge Mendicant Bias at all though.

True though but the only thing some of these guys seem to keep wanting to talk about is the Covenant or the Human-Covenant War. I'm bored of the Covenant and the Human-Covenant War is over, all I've been wanting to talk about is Halo's future and Mendicant Bias a character first introduced in Halo 2.

I don't generally care for Halo beyond Reach, but I never delved into the lore and books. Are there multiple Graveminds and what crimes did the Forerunner commit? Is the Flood a legitimate living entity or a parasite that should be destroyed?

IRC The Forerunners were created by the Precursors and at first were given the Mantle of responsibility, however after discovering humans they took it away from the Forerunners and were set on giving it to Humanity. This action of being given something then having it quickly taken away angered the Forerunners and so they began slaughtering the Precursors who had no means to fight back nor did they want to. The shock of having their creations turn on them and their species near extinct put most of the survivors in a complete rage induced insanity. They fled out of the Galaxy abd put themselves in a powder like stasis sleep. However their insanity and hatred corrupted this powder causing it to infect and twist lifeforms. Now in their monsterous state the newly created Flood vow to bring all beings into their collective so there will never be any betrayal or violence in the galaxy again.

I thought it sounded kind of cool. I generally like that sort of thing. The whole idea of being on the cusp of greatness only to have it be taken away and then everything turning to shit and suffering the consequences after you retaliate. I expect user has left out some of the more fleshed out details but I'll definitely look into it more. I've played the games but never really played much attention to the world, just the objective.

True, nuCortana is missing a fragment of her old self so maybe Halsey could create that fragment with no memories of her past adventures with Chief and then that Cortana merges with the original possibly fixing Cortana.

I liked Halo better when the only thing you knew about the forerunners was that they were ancient and advanced.

343's designs are so anime and i think that is a big factor in how many people are turned off by the new halos

Yep, 343i completely threw out Halo's design philosophy and went full Section 8, which honestly wouldn't be a bad thing if they weren't trying to present it as Halo. The grunts, the ODST, the Spartans, all the UNSC equipment and vehicles, they all had that function over form design philosophy that the military can't get enough of. Then 343i shows up and completely ruins everything. And that's without even considering what they're doing to the lore.
