Konami cares about money. Money is in Pachinko and selling their IPs. Selling IPs to top bidder (MS) would be a no lose situation since MS would pump out games at a bi yearly rate and it would make Konami a massive quick profit that their top men could quickly leave the company with.

I can't see how this would work.

Business 101. If person A approaches person B for an IP and shows clear interest in said IP,
Person B would logically charge an extremely high price.
Bargaining can lower that and approaching someone for something you want puts you in a very vulnerable position that can be taken advantage of.
The only smart thing to do is to buy when Person B decides to sell it themselves.
Konami is infamous but they're smart business types, they'll make a great profit the moment someone attempts to buy from them.
Get over it and find a new game to love.

They spent 2.5 billion on Minecraft, xbox fags believe this was a smart investment instead of having new IPs to replace stale no 4+ watever back in 2015. Keep in mind the investment has paid off to make the shells, but not a dime goes back i to development, or that lost time.

The IPs themselves are still being used by Konami even if they're not seeing full game releases. All that Pachinko money, for instance. The weirdness with Bomberman R receiving both patches and free updates post launch has also thrown a wrench in the Konami narrative alongside the recent rumblings of some sort of Castlevania game for the Switch. Konami is clearly still interested in the dedicated videogame market, but obviously shooting for a different kind than what MGS and PT were aiming at before Konami pulled the plug.

Also, Microsoft has a bunch of IPs they could be working with and have just stupidly run into the ground and left unused for years. The problem is just that Microsoft can't fucking manage the health of their IPs and sustain First Party Development, not that just don't have anything.

Why would you want a company that singlehandedly made consoles worse to buy old IPs they can use to capitalize on nostalgia and ruin even more?
