I wish games were shorter and just highlighted their key mechanics instead of being 80 hour grindfests

Stop playing rpgs/action adventure games and start playing pure action games.
I agree.
That's not the problem though.
Well made RPG is not a grindfest. Problem is that devs poorly balance the progression and usualy pad the game with boring repetitive content.
dont play jrpg trash then
>Well made RPG is not a grindfest
A small handful of western action rpgs maybe, but the rest of the genre is just recycling the same fights for hours on end
I agree, OP. I'm sick of games needing to be padded out to be tens of hours long so that the nerds don't go "DURR ONLY 40 HOURS FOR 60 BUCKS? WHAT A ROBBERY"
Those idiots are actively making games worse.
What's it like having ADHD?
I bet you watch your weeb cartoons by skipping to the good part and playing it at x2 speed
What is it like spending hours doing the same thing?
Yeah actually.
Pretty great, I can play an action packed game for an hour and be satisfied for the whole day while rpg fags sit through dozens of hours of mind numbing busy work to get to parts that feel somewhat exciting. It's no wonder most of you hate yourselves.
How do you manage to get work done? I have ADHD and focusing on running my company for more than a few hours a day is agony.
I don't actually have clinical ADHD, just the user's stupid idea of what ADHD is. Sorry man.
i wish ryuuko would let me shove my dick down her throat.
I have actual ADHD and can barely focus on a game. I'm currently playing through 20 at once
I wish you would realize that there are games for you and that it is retarded that the games that are obviously not for you should conform to your wishes.

Thanks for the insight.
No problem, counting this post it will be $89.99. I'm paid per every character
I've only had to deal with minor attention span problems and in that case it was just a sign that I wasn't enjoying it very much. Maybe try playing short but dense and challenging games that absolutely demand your attention? Stuff like 1v1 multiplayer games like fighters and Quake, roguelikes/lites, racing games, action-puzzle games like Tetris and shmups?
I agree. Nothing wrong with having longer games for the people who enjoy them but there should be a spot in the market for shorter games to exist too. I want more pure, boiled down, perfected experiences like 30 Flights of Loving for instance. Developers shouldn't be afraid to make those kind of games because retards demand dollar to hour value even if 90% of those hours are padded and artificial.
I don't like when games are too short either. Sometimes there isn't enough room for the mechanics to shine and the game doesn't experiment or play with the mechanics enough.
Stuff like Metal Gear Rising where it feels like you barely get to to cut any enemies up since there's so few of them and so few levels.
And I feel like Superhot could have done more with the level designs and had more interesting scenarios
Ryƫko is a miracle of the universe.
This is important
