I got 54.71LY(59.52) jump range in my DiamondBack Explorer. It was a while since I played but I think I got all of that from Felicity Farseer. Which is relatively easy to gain access to.
I haven't even used it to explore that much, I just dropped the game after a while. Might return for some exploration or some potential update.

Just out of curiosity, what is max FSD for you? I did some fiddling with a build webpage and I am pretty sure the best FSD you can get is in a Diamondback.
The RNG gets pretty tiresome, and I think I heard that'll change in some upcoming patch. Don't know the details, just something I heard from Obsidian Ant.

41Ly is still pretty damn good, especially when you're equipped(and/or in a medium ship), unless you plan to traverse the galaxy. For pure exploration you can do better though, especially with Engineering. You in a Python/Anaconda or something?
