Considered Chile's first general, he used modern tactics against the Spanish invasion and as a result the natives held out against total conquest longer than most groups in South America. He absolutely crushed the Spanish in some battles despite the technological disadvantage, not through guerilla warfare but from good tactics in conventional battle.

In terms of military history, the man is absolutely notable. But that's all he was notable for, war.

A little jewy, but I loved BNW so at least it means that 6 will be great by that point. Also, 4 was really no different, it didn't get big until Beyond the Sword was out.

I'm convinced that Civ VI's project leads need to slap the shit out of their art team. It isn't because of the art style (the animation is amazing), it's the consistency with which they've fucked up multiple leaders in an attempt to ~diversify~ the roster.

For some reason, it's consistently the women that they fuck up. I've never seen a company try to be sensitive to diversity and fuck up so consistently. The worst part is that people from these ethnic backgrounds are often the ones coming out and saying "m8 what the fuck are you doing".

Yeah, but you look cool at parties, groups, lectures, etc. I don't think the focus on women is bad, but what you've noticed is a real sentiment. I'll play whatever these days because I don't think to highly of the medium anymore, but I know that this shit fucks with some of the more well traveled folks. Then again, I don't live in one of those massive sprawling city centers, so I'm definitely not speaking for everyone. Maybe people in those places don't notice these things or don't care. Not like blacksplotation films didn't stick around for a minute, people were definitely too stupid in the 60's-70's to even realize what they were and that they were being insulted.

Are the graphics fixed to be back to what 5 had?
If they're still that mobile-tier cartoony shit, then no buy.

I'll admit they went too far in this direction in 6, but 5 is the only game that tried for ultra-realistic graphics.
