It seems pretty straightforward; I make a save file before making the first poem, and do a certain route until I get to sayori's endgame, then before seeing it I reload to the first poem and do a different route. The thing is, I save every day before the day starts, on a new save file each time, since after my game breaks for good after it ends completely, and I do a restart, I might want to relive a certain part of a certain route without redoing the whole thing. The plan is, before seeing Sayori's hangout, I copy all of my save files from every route to a safe place. Now we're getting to my problem. I cannot for the life of me figure out where the actual save files are stored on my computer. They aren't in my ddlc save folder, and I tried looking it up in %appdata% but I can't find anything there either. Any help at all would be appreciated

Not sure what you mean by "true ending" as what you're trying to do is pointless because the game's choices and endings only give the illusion of branching paths and all that. Choices and poems don't affect ANYTHING but the order in which you talk to them and some few lines here and there. It's the most visual novel game out of all visual novels as you're carried on through the story no matter what you do
There is only one ending, it's linear as fuck and you're only tricked into thinking it's not by breaking the convention of going to the title screen after you "finish" it. People are used to the fact that seeing the title screen of the game means you completed it or at least completed a part of the story but in DDLC that doesn't mean anything.

>Not sure what you mean by "true ending deleting the file I think they meant

you don't even have to save once
saves are not accounted for, all you need to do is to see all CGs before sayori offs herself, that's all
>start game >pick sayori, do all poems for her, grab all cgs >before she suicides go to menu and do new game >pick yuri do all poems for her, grab all cgs >before sayori offs herself, start new game again >pick natsuki, do all poems for her, grab all cgs
done, now you can skip everything, delete monika right at the start of act 3 and bam, true ending with dev letter

Doesn't the game literally tell you where it's files are, not to mention that the file you have to delete isn't in saves
Hudson Walker
there are two endings, a good ending and a bad ending
if you do not get all scenes with all girls sayori becomes another monika and monika nukes the game
if you get all scenes with all girls sayori thanks you for spending time with everyone, admits everyone loves you equally and breaks the game saying goodbye
Blake Thomas
>Doesn't the game literally tell you where it's files are yes, the game spells it out for you but I guess some oblivious people think that deleting the file is the 'true ending' and not deleting it is the 'bad ending'
Zachary Watson
Literally just go to /ddlc/ on /vg/ and check the OP for the pastebin link that tells you how to get the good end.
Robert Allen
Barely. He really could've done so much more with the game but I guess I only think that because of all the praise it gets, likely to him it was just a small project. Also since when did people started spacing their sentences like that I see that shit more and more, it looks stupid. Do schools teach kids how to make paragraphs differently now?

OP here, sorry I had to go eat.
You can get a "true ending" if you come across all cgs in the game. You do this by saving and reloading and doing all "routes". The ending is, instead of Sayori being a yandere, she happily thanks you for spending so much time with everyone. But my problem is, after the game ends, my saves will be gone too, so I want to keep them safe in case I want to revisit a certain scene later on in my life. There are no save files in the ddlc folders. So I just wondered where they're actually physically located.
Ayden Foster
Post them if you got them

Joshua Robinson
I know how to get the true ending. I need to know where the save files are located at physically.
Kayden Rogers
Whats so weird about that
Luis Ward
Where'd you get that picture of my girlfriend?
Benjamin Brooks
Your girlfriend? She gave these to me!
Jacob Adams
This thread is fucked Can someone just tell me where the save files are?
Nolan Cox
That fact that you felt you had to tell anybody you weren't here, or basically anything at all that you're doing not related to whatever shit people are talking about. Nobody gives a fuck if you go eat, nobody gives a fuck if you leave, you have no connection to anybody here, this is an anonymous imageboard. Not to mention that someone already said what you're trying to do.
What, do you come from facebook or something?
Michael White
うん
Andrew Martin
No its because I took like 20 minutes to come back, and since people regularly leave these threads after some time of inactivity I thought id say why I went away
Cut me some slack im high on prescription drugs, you're being a meanie right now
Austin Perry
Holy shit user how are you THIS bad at computers. A fake virtual girl is better at it then you!
Michael Baker
Save folder is literally empty though even though I can acess and load my save files through ingame
Ethan Gomez
Go fuck yourself
Jose Cook

Maybe you should play my game again, and focus on what files I'm changing.
Xavier Rivera
It’s a substitute for indentation, which your school should have taught you. You must be a fucking idiot.
Justin Jackson
ohshit
Brandon Miller
She shouldn't be this lewd.

Honestly I like the regular ending a lot more than the "good" ending. Horror games should never end on a clean or happy note.
Jayden Adams
Well I guess that's why there's 2 endings and not just one. I like leaving things off on a good foot, especially in horror games. Its like I go through some fucked up shit, and then give myself acceptable closure. Otherwise I get kinda sad, especially if I was really invested.

>horror game

This game is like an expanding brain shitpost
>brainlet tier "DDLC is a horror VN!" >activated mind tier "DDLC is another dating sim visual novel" >genius tier "DDLC is a garbage, unoriginal hack game who's central gimmick has been done more expansively and better by dozens of games before it, and who's intended audience is the truly obnoxious ironic weeb crowd that strips it of the minuscule credibility it had left" >ascended tier "DDLC is a VN about how your waifu will never be real."
Caleb Perry
>Yuri is only 30 KB
And Natsuki's the malnourished one?
Angel Myers
>never be real
We'll see user, if everything goes well I have another 70 years to live. A lot can happen.
