Why does Reddit get all the action? Why don't devs come and listen to Sup Forums?

Stuff like that can potentially have red-tape sort of issues when taking concepts directly from outside the dev team if someone actually comes forward and wants to claim they ripped off their idea and want to get paid for it.

i did that with a failing game dev team, i literally put them out of business, but they were already going out of business
i argued against going typical UO shit and told them why UO was a shit game mechanically and unbalanced
so instead of making the game better, they just focused on rebalancing and wasted more time reworking systems than improving core gameplay

then i suggested they move for a more casual / pick up and play approach rather than catering to tryhard full pk mmo bullshit communities because they always are toxic af and really shit

then they went out of business

Design by comittee is fucked from inception, exactly because there is no inception, no design idea by the people making the game.
Anyone can relatively easily identify what they dislike, but only very precious few people know what to do about it, and when you have two sets of ignorants trying to solve a problem, you should always go with the people who have knowledge of the subject matter over those that do not.

Depends on the aesthetics of the game. If people are running around with washing machines on their shoulders then I'm inclined to give less of a fuck about practicality.
