I was kinda let down by that game. The grind and the lack of h-scenes in town kinda put me off from ever finishing it. It also didn't help that the dev would constantly put out update after update each day.

This is what devs do now as an anti-piracy measure. They put out an initial version of the game that's totally broken and lacking content, wait for that to be uploaded, and then fix all the bugs and add in content over the following weeks. The rippers don't bother sharing the updates so people have to buy the game to get the finished product. Unfortunately it really fucks with translation efforts.

Yeah the H-Scenes are not as good, but I had fun with it as a game on its own as opposed to porn. I have a soft spot for SRPG.

no. but you can beat the game even not knowing japanese. there's only 3 things you need to know:

1. take note of the dog's skill that prevents enemies from dying (leaves them with 1 hp to absorb
2. when you're in the forests, run. but there's at least one map with a secret enemy/unique creature
3. when you get to a level where you fight a certain unique, there's a hidden monster that takes no damage and is necessary to get the true ending

and typical rules for these games apply: capture every unique. i think the maid got a steal spell in one of the recent patches too, though i never really had to use it when i beat the game, not sure if it was there or if it's new
