are there any games that depict realistic sword fighting where single strikes are often fatal and not this bullshit needing to hack and slash at something 100 times to kill it
Are there any games that depict realistic sword fighting where single strikes are often fatal and not this bullshit...
Bushido Blade is pretty much the only game.
God I want a Bushido Blade 3 more than I want to lose my virginity.
Mount and Blade.
God here, you'll get your game, but it will be shit and almost as large a disappointment to you as you are to your parents,
And you'll never lose your virginity.
Have fun!
pls no bully
Kingdom come: deliverance.
wow rude
That's not cool, God.
This unless you go up against someone with better gear.
heck you I'm turning atheist
I love Junko!
Exanima. You can fucking decimate people with as little as two well-placed strikes, but the trade-off is that Exanima strives for realistic armor too so as the game scales up it takes more hits to kill things because decent armor in the game offers assloads of protection and you're better off using a mace or hammer at that point.

slashing doesn't do jackshit if you wear any decent metallic armor
Wasn't that game abandoned? Last update as 11 months ago.
Who knows. I heard the devs were promising an update that adds magic to come soon recently on the forums but whatever happens to it isn't my concern at this point, I got well beyond my $15 worth out of it. Just a shame that the devs buried themselves alive so it'll never have a chance to be something better
0.6 was released like 2 weeks ago. You high?
Nah you can survive quite a few blows
Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
Sort of.
man, I want a game about olympic fencing so bad
Dwarf Fortress.
Overgrowth
>get hit anywhere
>chipped bone
>pass out from pain
>kicked in the head to death
This is why we need Gnosticism
I think there's an online simulator of Song of Swords.
Not realistic
Severance/Blade of Darkness is pretty close
Update is currently in closed beta. Dev is acting like a fucking idiot and only posts news on Discord
relevant. by the way Kurosawa + Mifune = guaranteed classic film
Kengo : Master of Bushido is way better than Bushido Blade.
>they all wait their turn to die

life bars vs one hit maiming and kills. Don't think so bromo.
I don't see that anywhere, I'm just going by the recent updates on steam and the steam forums, both of which say the last update was February 2017. If it has been updated since then the devs should try and keep their steam info updated so potential customers don't look and see a game that has had no updates or news for 11 months.
>this real sport that literally happens in real life regularly isn't realistic
...
the "realistic" movement is the shit that is killing entertainment, It's not a coincidence that soiboi are pushing it.
Fencing foils are absolutely nothing like any sword used for combat or even lethal duels in the first place.
What are you even talking about user
Maybe he should try and recruit someone from the fan community to do some volunteer PR if he doesn't know how to do it.
This why Islam is superior. Allah gives us games and waifus.
user said he wanted an olympic fencing game, brainlet.
This user het's it.
t. someone who would have died of childhood illness in the 17th century but worships the period anyways
Full plate armor was difficult to get through IRL.
Doubt it. IIRC he is really pissy about releasing any information at all and the guy responsible for modelling has brought more updates in a week (check the posts in steam discussions about the coffee guy) than he in a couple months
>being aware of what is and is not historically accurate = worshipping the past
okay. jpg
That's some projection you got there bucko.
>This image
Sounds about right actually
this, a gambeson was enough to stop a cudgel or a slashing weapon
brain-dead
G_saberrealisticcombat 3
Can't fucking wait. That armor system is everything I've dreamed of since I played Oblivion in high school
what the fuck
Based God
Niddhogg
That was never how it worked. Kendo is retarded and you've been watching too much anime. There was only a very short period in history where samurai didn't wear armor and a single strike meant death. It was a transitional period where most samurai were only that in name and there were a few bodyguards and ronin left that actually still knew how to fight. Before that they were heavily armored except for the neck and why beheading was so popular for a while. Samurai mostly fought with bow and arrow or something similar to a polearm. The katana for a samurai had about as much utility as it did for a European knight, which is to say very little.
Like I said, there was a very short period in Japanese culture where the katana had utility and it was a transition period away from pure feudalism towards Japan becoming an empire.
There are few to no games that apply to it.
To add- as I recall there are a couple films that loosely reference this period in Japanese history. "When the Last Sword is Drawn" and "13 Assassins" are good examples but especially the former.
