Alright anons, it's time for the continuation of Marth's Wild Ride.
>What is this game? This is Fire Emblem 3, a Fire Emblem game for SNES that didn't get released in the west. It's split into two books, book 1 is a remake of FE1 for NES and book 2 is a direct sequel to it, and the one we're playing now. >What is this run? This is a blind ironman run done by me, but with a slight twist for this run. All units that died during my Sup Forums plays of Book 1 will be killed off here if they become units. >What do we do? From time to time I will ask you to make "tactical" decisions, like which units to deploy, which items to buy, which unit to use stat boosters on, etc. >What happened in the Book 1 run? Hardin was FUCKING INVINCIBLE. That's all you really need to know. Here's the finale thread for it: Alright lets get this shitshow on the road. And no I'm not the Nigger that did all of the other FE runs.
>Marth is literally Hardin's bitch How could any woman not love this man?
Well that sucks a bit. How late do I get the other two?
Nicholas Bailey
Palla joins about a chapter or two after Catria. Est doesn't join for a significant amount of time because ests are shit
Logan Adams
Just calm down. You'll get your frigging Peg Knights eventually. Just focus on stuff in the moment, like how Hardin just told Marth to take his ENTIRE army to quell a rebellion in a completely different nation, or that your audience is going to be playing favorites with your starting units.
Adam Gonzalez
>Lawrence N-NANI!? I don't want to kill based eye-patch general.
Eli Myers
This is what happens when you are a tiny nation. The Chad Archanean Empire can just demand shit and it will happen.
Aaron Hall
>Chapter 1 of Book 1: Liberating a nation from pirates >Chapter 1 of Book 2: Subjugating a nation and fighting a former ally
Its easy to overlook just how big of a jump it was from FE1 to FE3. Maybe I'm being a retrofag but it was pretty ground breaking to get a story like this.
Adam Bennett
god FE3's soundtrack is so good
Adrian Ross
Hey, wait a minute, isn't that from Rockman 4 Minus Infinity?
Jason Barnes
Why would Lawrence do this?
I kinda love all of the politics already. Can't wait for it all to be "lol demon dragons" in the end though.
Liam Jackson
The politics are nice while they last
Grayson Miller
>dragons are bad I still can't understand why people keep saying this.
Connor Peterson
Just look at the vile creatures. Their evil nature is apparent to all.
Jordan Long
Stop shitposting. I'm talking about people saying "SOME GUY IS A DICK AND DRAGONS ARE BACK" is a bad thing.
Carter Torres
this worth going back to if I only played FE12
Ryan Williams
We need evil demon lords instead.
Cameron Carter
He didn't even say dragons were bad, just that the plot going to dragons again is a bit cliche.
Carter Evans
Holy fuck what a dick.
I kinda just prefer it staying politics, but I don't mind dragons. It's just that so many FEs use that. Then again this whole series is about dragons so I'm basically just complaining about the main lore of the series.
Leo Reyes
Its a bit overdone as far as Fire Emblem is concerned. It doesn't help when the generic evil dragon takes over the plot that had been more about politics up to that point.
Alexander Adams
They gotta have something as the final boss. If you haven't noticed yet, video game plots come pretty low in priority next to setpieces.
Samuel Nelson
This scene has the best cutscene music.
Carter Powell
Honestly Hardin could have worked for a final boss. I get why it often ends up being evil dragons, but sometimes people just wish they didn't feel the need to escalate things.
Cameron Harris
>implying Dark Emperor Hardin isn't a better setpiece than lolMedeus again
Nolan Moore
Okay, I will admit that having the final bosses be Gharnef and Medeus again is pretty disappointing.
Connor Cooper
DUDE MASS SLAUGHTER LMAO
Jose Williams
Wow Jeigan is actually smart. I wish he was a actual unit in this book. I fucking love it Is he /ourguy/ instead of Lawrence?
Kevin Ramirez
I mean, if they wanted a setpiece they could just have you sieging a castle from hell full of lieutenants with magic swords and shit before you finally got to the throne room. I guess dragons look nice, though.
Lucas Brown
Oh yeah, Jagen is great in Book 2 and 12. The wise mentor role suits him greatly.
John Perry
The real interesting thing to note here is that FE12 severely cuts out a lot of this dialogue, especially the part about Lang being a turncoating coward, and just limits it to "killing the homes and families of the rebels". Still gets the point across, but it really feels lacking next to this.
Nathaniel Wood
But if they didn't cut those lines, how would they fit in Kris sucking Marth's cock and everyone else sucking Kris' cock?
Ryder Martinez
Yeah, but then they'd make all the enemies zombies or cultists like FE13.
Zachary Johnson
>Not sucking Kris cock all day everyday
Evan Fisher
And finally all of the dialogue is capped and we start.
Gavin Rogers
Der Führer hardly dicksucks Marth. He just pats him on the head like a good little mental patient and says everything will be fine while Marth gives Der Führer the blowjob himself.
Jack Gomez
Jeigan with the good advice. Also, if he's the tactician does that make the player Jeigan?
Ian Roberts
Sure why not. Though this also means the player was Malledus in the last book.
Joseph Gray
Alan is every negative Jiegan stereotype, avoid him like the plague Kris has no character outside "muh training" and "muh guarding marth". So while he gets assloads of dialogue, those are the only things he ever says.
Cooper Turner
And here is all of our units.
However, one of them seems to be a ghost and must be gotten rid of immediately.
Henry Reyes
Dude, we already told you not to kill units that died in Book 1 last thread.
Ryder Nelson
No, you guys said not to kill off all of the units that died before I made it a Sup Forums plays. So Doga dies.
David King
>rules lawyering
Mason Ramirez
>Half-truths claiming
Diet Nigger pls
Eli Powell
Dude, if you're going to have that attitude, Chapter 7 is gonna end up guaranteeing the Bad Ending. Just leave Draug alone.
Camden Foster
>implying Doga won't choke the point and survive
Jackson Davis
Alright have a strawpoll then. Do we kill off all of the units that died in the Sup Forums plays of book 1 or let them live? strawpoll.me/14884455
Austin James
>10 unique posters This won't end well.
Carson Martinez
>not voting for oliver and nothing else
Jayden Bennett
>5 for Live, 3 for Kill You faggots are the reason Casual Mode exists. Kill them already, you retards! The Reich demands it!
Eli Evans
>not voting for both oliver and hardin (lol
Isaac Martin
>not voting for God Emperor Hardin AND Oliver
Nathaniel Cook
>implying Hardin can even compare to Oliver's beauty, even with his godly stats
John Wright
You're going to rules lawyer that since Doga dies to these bandits here, that you won't have to keep your end of the bargain with him, aren't you?
Andrew Brown
I just want my boy Doga to get to choke the point.
Ian Long
>Implying Hardin isn't beautiful
Nathaniel Young
>only 10 posters and 9 lurkers in this thread That's just sad.
Robert Stewart
Doga's gonna win, anyways. He's the highest level party member, has a sword, and has solid defense.
Ryan Sullivan
I've been lurking haven't felt like posting yet.
Adam Miller
wait fuck me that's a spear he might have problems then
Nathan Kelly
Don't worry, weapon triangle doesn't exist in this game
Lincoln Turner
Alright keeping them alive wins with 9 votes over 4. I reset even though Doga probably could've survived those bandits because he's fucking Doga. >not wanting Hardin to fuck you while you fuck Oliver's beautiful butthole What are you, gay? But small comfy threads are the best. The weapon triangle wasn't added till FE4.
Wait really what's even the point of spears and axes, then? Slightly different stats?
Christian Mitchell
DOGA THANKS YOU FOR SAVING HIM BY CRITTING THIS BANDIT
Yes.
Nathan Jenkins
Swords had the lowest damage and highest accuracy. Axes were the opposite. Lances were inbetween. But you're not entirely wrong, the lack of difference between weapons lead to the weapon triangle being created.
Leo Perry
You don't get axe users in book 2. Spears and swords also have the usual weapons that differentiate themselves like javelins.
Wyatt Diaz
>female cavalier >has higher level and slightly better stats than her two comrades >but with 1 less HP Anyone think she's worth training? There's a useful unique weapon obtainable in the next chapter for her, but she'd have to share it with the peg knights.
Grayson Allen
>what's even the point of spears and axes, then? Slightly different stats? Yeah pretty much still follows the same rules as later Fire Emblem games did.
>Swords >Less MT, more accurate, lower weight >Axe >High MT, less accurate, higher weight >Lance >Middle ground of MT, accuracy, weight
Elijah Martin
Yep. Haven't you played FE15? Or FE10 Hard mode?
Christopher Davis
>axes >Book 2 Literally just for selling fodder.
Nathan Nelson
NICE CECIL
Give me the quick rundown on these starting cavs, which ones are good and which ones are shit?
Kevin Sanchez
Cecil is cute so yes. Although OP shouldn't be afraid to drop her if she ends up underperforming compared to Luke or Rody.
Nolan Price
Don't worry, there will be PLENTY of cavaliers to train up if Cecil ends up being bad. Sirius is basically the end all be all of cavs anyway
Aaron Barnes
Luke is "good bases, meh growths" Rody is "meh bases, good growths" Cecil is "FAST AND STRONG, but dies to a breeze in the wind"
Daniel Lee
I'm aware. Which is depressing, since the trainees get a lot of availability, and Cain and Abel are still pretty strong units
John Hall
Given the "lore" of this playthrough, Sirius being so good helps since we're gonna use him anyw.ay
Leo Hernandez
Man this Camus seems like a cool guy. Shame we had Hardin murder him, huh?
And the archers? I'm assuming Gordin is the same and Ryan has super growths?
Gavin Long
I believe most of the returning characters have the same growths from book 1.
So yeah, Luke is REALLY top-heavy on HP, but the rest of his growths are mediocre, and his awful luck doesn't help matters. Cecil is good but fragile, and Rody is overall good with a little patience, but using either of them is still a risk because of EXP distribution.
Benjamin Jenkins
Both archers are usable, but Ryan is still pretty above his brother in growths. Still, I would stick with Gordin in the short-term before abandoning him later for reasons that'll become apparent later.
Aiden Hernandez
Gordin is the same, Ryan is Gordin but better in terms of growths, lower base stats tho.
Ryan 60 /40 /70 /40 /30 /40 /20 /3 Gordon 40 /30 /30 /30 /40 /60 /10 /3
Jeremiah Ramirez
>thief coming from the southwest mountains Have you gotten used to how FE3's XP system works yet, Inside-out Nigger?
Christopher Roberts
Is the 7th Platoon (Luke, Roderick, Cecil, and Ryan) good in this game? Please use them anyways
Ian Russell
Marth is such a nice guy, not taking this woman's daughter.
Luis Hill
This picture alone convinces me that they are worth using.
Kayden Nelson
>Der Führer
What kind of mentally-deranged, brain-damaged retard would make this fanart?
Caleb Rogers
Ryan makes a godly paladin in 12 for some reason
Luke Evans
the boosted growth rates in general really helps some characters out, Ryan is fairly alright in 3, but one of the better bow users in 12.
Oliver White
In FE12 they certainly are. Especially Cecil and Ryan, since Cecil gets Ladyblade access and Ryan gets to assrape the tons of fliers they throw at you. Luke and Roderick are also pretty decent, just because they join in the early game, and FE12 hates anybody who joins after like Chapter 4 that isn't named Katarina or Michalis.
