To this day I don't understand alpha's backstory
How did the internet originate from an armoured blob

>he hasn't played Indigo Prophecy

Remember when Alpha vored Bass? Shit scared me as a kid

The internet is a pretty attractive dude.

>tfw he never really recovered from that

He was supposed to be like an AI but it went rogue.

>Implying the embodiment of the internet wouldn't be just a lot of weird porn

They concluded story perfectly in 3, why made another unnecessary sequels.

because money and lucrative franchising

>used to be able to have 2-3 Mega Man series running around at the same time
>now we just have the main one coming back after years of jack shit and canceled games

Because better multiplayer

>every year used to be "fuck ANOTHER Mega Man game? can't we slow down a bit"

Best Roll.

>Everyone was complaining about Mega Man getting more games and now all the series are dead except for classic
>tfw I was the only one happy to have one game per series every year
Fuck all of you, you ruined it all.

BN3 was objectively the best.

Honestly I hate how this is the only game that has this sort of combat and we have yet to see any kind of enjoyable spiritual successor pop up.

Gregar's beast out is the best form, i regret choosing Kentucky chicken only because i wanted to play with tomahawkman.

There is a fangame and i am not Talking of chrono X.

Time to make your own then

>with no online
4's was worse than 3's though

They tried new mechanics but failed until BN6.
Still had better chip balance for VS than 2 and 3 though.

You should play this game NOW

>darkchips
>better balance than 3
5's multiplayer was good but the chips you get are just plain boring and weak
6 is the absolute GOAT

>Illegal chip
Bye idea kf a zero PA.

I want to bully Yorihime!
But she's too strong and ends up bullying me instead

Stop, she is canonically married although her husband never appears or has his name mentioned.

Building a Dark Chip focused Folder leaves you without Synchro and Soul Unison but it's not terrible, just average. Static is fucking great though.

>just average
>potentially free life sword every turn
I don't buy it

...

Fuck Alpha. Never beat the fucker

Any terminator game.

Which is?

>he didn't use woodstyle + grass stage cheese

>Limiting yourself to two chips that can't ignore shield or invis
Unless you're playing against somebody with an alphabet soup you're going to get that shit ruined by Antidmg, Guard or Invis.
You only want to pick those Dark Chips if you got nothing else good or you want to get bugged for Static spam.

>tfw ran a Flashman folder for 3
>suddenly has no effect on Alpha
I had to change my folder into an alphabet soup just to damage the fucker

It's anime 2hu shit
Don't bother

...

Will we ever get another battle network?

Flashman is probably my favorite navi design

It's anime 2hu shit
It's really good

The reason why Sup Forums suddenly talks about BN again. Don't read what says, even if you don't know 2hu, is a solid BN fangame you can enjoy, at best you will just miss some jokes and references.

Chain of Memories is an ARPG + CCG, but it's the only other example I can think of and Sup Forums hated it.

I liked it, even though Reiku Replica was fucking bullshit

>I liked it, even though Reiku Replica was fucking bullshit
agreed, Repliku can go die in a fire, otherwise a good game

Airman's mine because, well, he was already my favorite robot master.
Are there even any good folders with him? Never see him mentioned.

That's because pretty much everyone went code G or * in BN2.

Nobody had a Dark Chip folder back then. If you were like me an tried it in 4, then decided it wasn't worth it, your only recourse to recover that HP was to restart the game entirely. In 5 you had Chaos Unisons, which were way better but made maxing out the SP chips too easy

Starforce is the only game that did the "Dark" mode correctly. You cans witch between Rogue and Brother Bands without consequence. Of course nowadays you're stuck with Rogue or nothing, but whatever

There's always that lego game.

Dot hack gu

GyroMan for me.
They stopped airing the anime before they introduced him iirc. Which is too bad because he's dope as fuck

>literally copied sprites from BN6
why was this allowed?

Should've mentioned I wasn't talking about Single player there.
Anyway, using one Dark chip isn't bad if you plan to run NumberBall on your folder.

Which element is your favorite?

>Went through the game with WoodCust
>Brought his shield down with one or two buster shots
>Regrettably had to switch to TeamStyle to finish Library
>Never saw it again
>Instead I got shitty AquaCust when i went back for it

fug

Elecniggas stunlocking bitches all day

You can't beat Carrie.

AquaCust is best Custom style though

Speaking of the anime
In case somebody is interested here are all the Rockman EXE episodes subbed

"Prototype" Internet.

this list is lacking. AirMan is obviously a Wind-type Navi. Pharoah and KingMan are obstacle Navis (Arguably DustMan, too). ShadowMan can feasibly fit in the Sword group, and that way you can drop the Invisible section.

Really, you could forgo that entire bottom row

>AquaCust
>Shitty

I would've rather had ElecCust. Every single person in the world was using a stunlock Elec folder in 3 so I don't see how you even figure that

...

>arguably DustMan too
I can get giving the newer elements to the older navis but DustMan is break element in game

NUMBERS

>tfw always tried to get shield style just so I can deal with Bass' aura without wasting chips

ElecStun is pleb tier just same as Gater in BN2.

It bothers me that Beryl isn't sword.

Wasn't DustMan just normal but with a break type charge shot?

No he was break element, he has to be seeing as he has a cross

What's your favorite chip, Sup Forums?
What's your favorite Program Advance?

ShadowMan should also be Sword, but you use Invis chips to unite with his Soul. I don't understand the rhyme or reason to this image since it's not like SearchMan is an Invis type navi.

Also, that's Colonel. Beryl/Barrel is his NetOp.

Did it bother anyone else that they didn't bring the Shadow chips back for 6? Sword is the only element in that game that didn't have special effects characteristic to them.

>Wind removed Auras and Barriers
>Break broke through Obstacles and Shields
>Cursor chips' gimmick was hitting any target from anywehere on screen
>Sword lets you cut through players with Shadow ships

It would've been perfect

Mah nigga

Who's the sub group? I remember Wolf Pack subbing the series back in the day, but I remember them having some really bone-headed "weeaboo taking first year of Japanese classes" translation decisions.

He wasn't break because he had a cross, he was break because he took extra damage from Cursor attacks

But he is basically JunkMan's brother so he would've definitely been an obstacle soul in an older game. I think ChargeMan would've used Plus-type chips in an older game, too. Look at his cross.

SearchMan is an Invis type in the 4th game and a cursor type in the 5th game. So he basically qualifies for both.

No, his DoubleSoul requires chips of those types. He is a Null-type navi in both those games, but the list is weird and includes Navis that actually have elements that don't have crosses or soul unisons, like SparkMan. Either go big and just stick all the navis on there or go home.

I played 4 and 5 back in the day, and I want to try the games people say are actually good. If I want to play one game from each, should I go for something like this?

>1
>2
>3 Blue
>Skip 4
>Colonel or DS (undubbed)
>Faltzer (I like the sound of Junk Cross)

Also, how are the Star Force games? I've heard mixed things from fans in passing, but my impression is that 3 is genuinely good?

SF1 and 3 are both worth playing

These

When I was a kid, I didn't really know how to build folders, so Nebula Grey in 5 kept kicking my ass. It didn't help that my chips wouldn't work or were too slow to attack the blue flame while it was vulnerable.
So I got Search Soul up, memorized his moves, and kept spamming the charge shot with Air/Float shoes to avoid pits and attacks. Finished the fight without taking any damage in one long turn. Cursor really will be the best forever for me.

Why does a navi need large breasts?

Do the games okay significantly differently? I'd assume that when they decided to cut down on the number of spaces you can move on, they either compensated for it with depth in other places, or just did it to make the game even simpler.

SF1 is just as worth playing as BN1.

*Play significantly differently
Sorry for being a phone poster

Extra Memory space

I'm pretty sure we can agree that Street Fighter 3 is the only one worth playing user.

>BlkBomb3
>LifeSwrd

Of course

You have a shield by default, and if the enemy is standing in front of you you can lock on and attack similar to beast out
On the custom screen you always have 6 chips available but can only pick ones that are in the same column (or also the same row in SF3 and later game in SF1) or of the same type. However, you can set white cards which you can use regardless of position on your custom screen
Countering doesn't give you full synchro, instead it gives you an extra chip and if you're noise changed then it gives you one that's equivalent to a giga chip

You should begin the SF series with SF1.
The game is more enjoyable than BN1 or BN4. But the annoying part is touch screen gimmick.

>MMBN4 is the second highest selling megaman game (behind megaman two) due to BN3 hype
>Its the most glitch ridden, typo filled, terrible padded out gameplay shit.
You really need to see the full lp archive of the game, its a fucking mess

MMBN3 wasn't the best game technically but battling the entire internet as the final boss was the coolest shit

don't need to read anything, I've played it myself
Pretty crazy how they can just suck all the fun out of a game like that

What about SF2? That's the game I've heard is skippable, and no one in the thread so far has really mentioned it. Is it BBN4-tier or just forgettable?

...

More like BN5 tier, BN4 is really that bad
>infuriating encounter rate
>plot becomes focused on something completely unrelated to the first game and generally sucks
>most dungeons have very annoying gimmicks

SF2 is better than SF1 but it has same problem as BN5: high encounter rate.
It's very annoying especially in the Maze scenario. You should carry a lot of Sneak Run. Otherwise it's fine game.

SF3 card selection is totally different though.
You can pick any card normally from any row and column as long as is not covered by another one, yet you can still pick the ones at the background but it turns into a support card depending on which element it has instead.

>tfw you destroy the internet
