You have to either use that shambler curio or be traveling around in pitch blackness to encounter it.

Pretty much, you can find a specific curio that allows you to spawn it or if you're in exploring in pitch black light level he might surprise you and probably fuck you up.

I rarely use any of these characters, but I'll admit Jester can be very useful. I cant find any proper use for Man-at-arms. He doesnt deal enough damage, and I dont find his skills that useful. Barely ever used leper since I have to waste trinket slots with ACC trinkets.

The last time /dadg/ got resurrected, it was for Crimson Court, so it'll probably happen again when the new DLC comes out.

To be honest, generals on /vg/ vary wildly depending on the game it's for. I remember the previous DD generals being pretty good. It helps that it gets resurrected after a big enough content is added and then dies a while afterward instead of just remaining a permanent fixture.

From what I seen, people tend to mainly just edit existing heroes. If you look at the files, each hero is broken up into pieces that move around when the character is walking or standing in place. In order to make an original hero, you need some special animation program that's kind of pricey.
