DRM isn't included to protect sales. They don't. And they get cracked. DRM is included exclusively at the behest of the publisher's investors. It's dumb shit publishers pay for to impress their board. Just like paying 50k for a single page website. Just like hiring consultants. It's just posturing so they can pad their budget even more next title of it succeeds, or so they have people to point the finger at if it fails.
