Gacha games
Other urls found in this thread:
Fire Emblem Heroes
Housamo
Why are they angry?
Magia record, currently saving for Homura, though she's probably not gonna be out for a year.
Lack of pets
King's Raid is my favorite. Cute art, generous devs, no character gacha, gotta unlock/buy. There's a gacha for weapons but you can just earn the good weapons through many other ways.
Game takes a pretty good while to get to end game though, but they're updating that.
I don't want to pet them though, they might nip
GBF, Honkai Impact and waiting for Girls Frontline english release(already pre-registered).
Played puzzle dragons and girls frontline, don't know what's wrong with me but I get tired of this type of games after a week or two
FE Heroes and Fantasy War Tactics
I wish there were more strategy gacha games and less of the "mash the attack button until the monster dies" gacha games.
Azur Lane because of the nep collab
Granblue
Record Keeper
struggling to keep playing Brave Exvius
picked up Dissidia Opera Omnia
picked up FEH to give it a honest try instead of listening to haters/fanboys
Alchemist Code(JP)
It says that Granblue is unavailable in my country, where I can get .apk?
I hear the term gatcha all the time and have no idea what it is, explain
game.granbluefantasy.jp
Just paste this shit into your chrome and play
It's short for gashapon which is a machine that spits out little capsule toys
It comes from the term gachapon machine or toy capsule machine
You put a coin in them and a random toy pop out, gacha game follow the same principle but instead of a coin is 5$ and instead of a toy it's an anime girl that got a lot of porn drawn about her
Those coin operated vending machines that dispense a single random toy in a plastic capsule are called gashapon machines (from the sounds associated with operating the machine. Turning the crank and the capsule landing in the bottom make the "gasha-pon". The term "gacha" has been used to refer to any game that emphasizes random prizes as incentive for continuous play and in-app purchases. Basically any free to play game with loot boxes
Sounds like bullshit to me
Yup, same stuff, but I like it anyway, never spent real money on these and still enjoy them. In most of these games you can get some free draws now and then.
It's ironic because OW lootboxes are actually better than gacha games. If you get duplicate items/cosmetics you get currency to outright buy for whatever you want.
In stuff like FGO this doesn't exist so you can drop $5000 without ever getting anything you want.
"...that effect gameplay." Usually in the form of collectable anime girls.
IMO lootboxes/= gacha, cosmetics-only boxes aren't really the same.
Captain Tsubasa. Though I rage quit the game after the last dreamfest since I got jack shit.
I played Kamihime nonstop for, like, a week.
I made one in-app purchase and realized what was happening and vowed off it. Dangerous stuff.
Do most gacha games not allow you to do something with duplicates? I play One Piece: Treasure Cruise and you get a currency as well when trading in dupes. Never played Overwatch so I don't know how it compares exactly.
Never spend money on the gacha. That is one reason I liked Soccer Spirits because you could use money to buy things guaranteed.
Anyways, I play Dokkan and OreCollo.
most games use duplicates as fodder for leveling characters or learning new skills
>Do most gacha games not allow you to do something with duplicates?
No. And if they do it's usually the case like FGO where you have to get TEN (10) copies of a single 5* unit to trade in. Did I mention that the chance of getting a single 5* unit is 1%?
Even in CSGO the trade-value isn't consistent. You can get nothing but $0.05 weapons that will never amount to a $1000 knife.
>It's ironic because OW lootboxes are actually better than gacha games.
its a game with 50$ asking price AND lootboxes so no,it isnt
The trade off is that gacha games have gameplay impacting things behind the lootboxes. Everything in OW is cosmetic so you can completely ignore it.
Love Live. I fell for the "SR/UR scouting box is worth more" meme even though I'm f2p. I wasted an opportunity for a free UR and got five SRs I will never use. Almost a year's worth of blue tickets down the drain.
Recently dropped my gacha games, puzzle&dragons, Fire emblem, dragonblaze & dragon heroes. Over 1100 days played in P&D. Problem with the first two is the endgame is heavily tailored to incentivize whaling (aka heavy real money spending) which should have been obvious but got me like a boiling frog: a pleasantly challenging no/ low IAP playstyle gradually erodes into pure frustration & artificial difficulty.
The latter two are just easy endless grindfests, only addictive if you get hooked trying to climb the pvp ladders.
sure but then its just about getting lucky or getting good enough to the point you dont need to waste money on them, Overtrash requires payment up front, it doesnt matter if shit is cosmetic or not, lootboxes in paid games are unacceptable
I'm playing kami from time to time. Never spent money on in. Every now and then you get jewels to get free draws, it's better to get eidolon, weapons and girls from events anyway.
DBZ Dokkan and FEH
I don't even play them really, just log in for free orbs and stones and summon dudes every now again, you have to be a no life whale dumping $$$$$$$$ to keep up with the meta of having the strongest teams and super dooper unique rare transformations etc.
I just stick to story missions and levelling my freebies if I actually play them from time to time.
I used to play FGO and FE:H, but I got bored of them quick and now I'm looking for another one. Any suggestions? Preferably in English, or atleast popular enough so I can find info on it easily.
Dissidia OO and King's Raid. Both are fun and very easy to get everything you need even as a free2play player
Love Live, Uta Macross and FEH.
>sure but then its just about getting lucky or getting good enough
Depending on game no matter how good you get you won't be able to clear certain content without the rarest units.
>lmao just get lucky dude
"No"
Is the WWE Champions game a gacha game?
Pack your bags, other idol games
you will get lucky sooner or later, theres no reason to think your luck sucks and will never get better
A positive point of view helps soften the blows
kingdom hearts union X
fire emblem heroes
dissidia opera omnia
however i think i need to drop them all because there is no real reason to play besides the temporary high you receive from rolling a rare unit
