It's minigames you play with cardboard.
That's it.

It’s for kids you brainlet

New IP for kids.

It makes money, unlike expensive losses like Sony VR.

A set of cardboard models that you slot your Switch and Joycons into, and some software to make them work. Watch this:

Wii Music but you have to craft the props from cardboard

Perfected VR.

So you don't even create stuff yourself? It's all a premade tangram-like piece of cardboard? Jesus, I'm sure collectors will go crazy for this.

Nintendo made a big deal of the Switch's sensors on the Joy-Cons. This product takes advantage of those features.

The cardboard builds are quite involved, apparently the piano takes ~2 hours to build, lots of pieces and elastic and things.

It's a semi-educational children's toy. You're not the target audience.

which one would you buy?

You can develop your own stuff. It's called Labo Garage.

Only one of these is made of soy products.

The $70 kit that the piano is in has more than just the piano in it. But in any case you're comparing apples and oranges because Labo is about the construction and crafting just as much as it is about the finished products.

Do kids even, like, play with toys anymore?

>Jesus, I'm sure collectors will go crazy for this.
If they wanted to collect cardboard then they could go and do it now.

Labo is a Nintenfag justification of a 80usd suggested retail price by equating the typical cost of a AAA, multi-million dollar budgeted game with orchestra music, tightly scripted Hollywood tier VAs, and hundreds of man hours of programming and play testing to what would have normally been considered a $.99 tablet app on the Google Play store.

>piano $50
>+
>fishing rod $30
>doll house $60
>motorcycle handle $30
>2 RC "cars" $20
Nice cherry picking dude.

>Labo is a Nintenfag justification

No, it's a children's educational toy.

Made of fucking cardboard.
Can't wait for all the DIY videos/articles on how to make your own Labo without spending $70.

And it's totally worth 80usd

For cardboard and a little piece of shit plastic of software.

That's kind of the whole point user.
There's a reason why you can buy the software separately.

How dumb are you user?

Kid's crafts and toys are expensive as fuck, dude. Check this out: amazon.com/Ann-Williams-Group-CT1518-Craft-tastic/dp/B013TRT5QK

This shit comes with less cardboard with less intricate design work and no electronic parts and it's $35. Now imagine it's more cardboard, designed to be complex folded papercraft constructions, comes with a bunch of rubber bands and special IR-reflective tape, and a game cartridge with plastic case.

Go ask an actual parent who buys this kind of shit for their kids thinks. The ones I've talked to consider Labo to be reasonably priced as a children's educational craft kit.

You can buy the game separately and you can create your own projects. I'm kinda excited to see what autistic shit people are going to make with cardboard.

>For cardboard and a little piece of shit plastic of software.

So you expect them to charge the cost of the materials only? Not for the time it took to design each model? Not for the time it took to develop the minigames packed in there? Do you think that when you buy a video game you're just paying for the cost of a plastic disc and a case? Do you think that when you buy a car you're paying only the cost of the metal, glass, and rubber? You're fucking delusional.

Why are Nintenbros fighting each other over this? We've been having such a good year with Odyssey, BotW, etc. Don't ruin this for yourselves now, Nintenbros.

I genuinly like the design, function, and asthetic of the labo robo. I also like it whenever Nintendo goes full circle and makes toys with their games

cardboard that nintendo pretends is for kids but theyre really hoping the man children who buy amiibos buy it too. thats why they said labo is for "kids at heart"

Amiibos are more for collectors. Labo is more for people into DIY stuff.

you cam make stuff out of cardboard haha
nintendo is so minimalist and innovative haha
