I liked that they did a better job weaving his career into his character than they did with Shulk being a researcher. He’s a bit generic shonen protagonist in most other areas, but likable enough.
Best characters were Tora and Zeke though. Nia was also good, despite the memes surrounding her. Morag could’ve been better, or at least better used. I loved her as a rival in the early game but she kind of faded into the background after she joins.
