Also, the roguelike "Demon" doesn't really make you transform, but it makes you acquire abilities form monsters.

The Suffering, and in the second one it would change the abilities you could do depending on your karma.
Demon is crazy underrated.

>Game has you turned into a monster by monsters
>The other monsters expect you to join them because monster racism or something
>You kill them all instead
The Darkness really made you feel like a predator when you were shooting out lights and using your demon arm.
say what you will about the darkness 2 not keeping the spirit of the original game but that shit was brutal as hell, the demon arm melee felt great
He does the deathclaw look quite well
Rune
Instincts was so much fun holy shit
>Game lets you play as a monster, but also lets you transform into an even stronger monster.
I see an archvile more
>game lets you transform into a powerful monster
>the transformation lasts maybe 5 seconds
>can be upgraded to *gasp* 8 seconds
>requires filling a meter that takes forever
>has no time limit in scripted boss battles, where the boss is supposedly super strong and it's basically no different from fighting normally
I'm pretty angry that bloodborne never gave you a full beast transformation, only the half assed stuff in the DLC
To be honest the one and only really good example of this is the vampire DLC in skyrim. Having a full monster transformation that gives you a bunch of unique powers and allows you to throw enemies around like ragdolls was pretty cool.
WELCOME TO YOUR DOOM
I always liked Jak 2 and 3. the angel especially was cool
The Suffering, right? that's a good game
>game lets you have sex with monsters
I still am a firm believer that Bloodborne was supposed to have elaborate beast/kin transformations, but this was cut late in development.
Both DeS and DaS have spirit and undead form respectively, going by Bloodborne's story there was meant to be a beast form that's not just a rune. This would factor into the blood vial mechanic, with pure and tainted blood.
They probably cut it because the player became lanky like the villagers and it caused animations issues with weapons.
you better fucking tell me the name

No it wasn't, it was a video game
Prototype 1 & 2 werent bad games.

>I still am a firm believer
Well, your belief is correct.
Originally the player's beasthood was supposed to play a central role in PvP matchmaking, much like how sin worked in DaS. You see, the original idea was that there would be both "pure" blood and "tainted" blood. Pure blood could be used without consequence, but when you obtained tainted blood, your beasthood would increase. If the player passed a certain threshold of beasthood and had high enough rally, then they would transform into a beast while out on the hunt. This form would be quite powerful, but would open you up to invasions from other hunters. Hunters could also invade you if your beasthood was high in general (literally; "you'll be one of them, sooner or later").
The idea proved too difficult to implemnt, however, and the whole system was scrapped.
>tfw you google search that picture and get a lot of hot bahabbitas as results
Figured as much, the whole game basically seems built around it with blood being used to heal and such.
Any idea why it got scrapped? Was it because translating the weaponry from human to beast form was too much work?
>TFW the game has subtle nods to TF fetish material
it's probably published by Nintendo
:(
Gothic 2 lets you just about clear 90% of the game with a shadowbeast transform scroll
Help an user out. Steam gives me almost a thousand search results for just 'demon.'
I tried googling it and it was the very first result nigga. Not even those guys.
Skyrim, but it's not good. On Legendary (read: completely boring, pointless artificial difficulty) the werewolf form is much weaker than my person with healing and weapons, only being useful to knock down super OP enemies
Prototype. My favourite game.
I never beat Prototype but I liked how fucked up the city got over time.
>activate characters demon/super mode or whatever that makes him more demonic and monstrous
>normal human enemies start panicking and freaking out, you see their morale get broken as you massacre them all
The Darkness
>still no pc port
it’s not fair
Searching "demon" for me gives me the 2015 movie and some historical definitions. "demon game" 's first result looks really shitty and I hope it's not what they were talking about.
Devil May Cry
>HE
I wish the Darkness was a bit less shooter, more powers. It takes quite a while to even get the darkness tentacle. Darkness guns aren't that fun either. The sequel adressed this a bit but it's sadly not as good.
berserk musou
what games do this?
sound observation - they were both terrible
Yeah, it's great because you can either destroy the hives or the army facilities and let the city change however you want. In Prototype 2 they got rid of this mechanic but the cities are way more fucked up.
>Games lets you transform into a monster
>It is NEVER a viable alternative
I just wanted to see the fucking skeleton transform into better skeleton but levelling them was a nightmare too
Dark Messiah
what game?
asking for a pervert
Sonic Unleashed
2 was shit, 1 was great.
Splatterhouse.
Zombies Ate My Neighbors.
MorphX.
Hold the phone, that was a mechanic? Do they switch to another faction off-screen? I remember nothing but leveling the same buildings over and over.
And it's actually one of the easiest ways to deal with the insufferable early game
...
>game lets you transform into a monster

Castlevania: Order of Eclessia
You get special glyphs that transform you into a catwoman, batwoman, and steampunk doll.
They're all fairly mid-to-late game, and not exactly gamechanging, but they do offer some useful abilities.
...
VTMB turned me on to this concept. It may have been better if I never found it, though, since now I'm disappointed that its such a destitute genre, and not just in vidya.

Metal gear revengeanananace
Icewind Dale, Neverwinter Nights 1&2, BG1&2, Pillars of Eternity all have a druid class with wildshape that lets them turn into animals, and in some elementals and a dragon too. Viable in all of these games.
They also have Polymorph and Shapechange spells that lets a mage change into pretty good creatures.
Any AvP game.
Ripper mode is stupidly powerful and takes no time to recharge.
werewolves are cool buy my game
>Game let's you transform into/play as a monster
>it's actually varied, viable and actually pretty good
Yeah, but you aren't strictly speaking a monster that way, just imitating.
I did enjoy my warlock spending most of his time as a bearded devil though.
