I'd understand loving the PS3. But people loving the PS4 so much is just depressing.

It's absolutely mindboggling that people would like a console that plays all their favorite games and then some.

Monster Hunter World definitely has good legs. Japanese games tend to drop very fast from these charts since their audience is more hardcore and more prone to buy on launch date.

But the PS3 played the same games. And it didn't require anyone to pay $399 up front with an additional $50 a year.
The PS4 is unironically a step down from the PS3. And yet it is more expensive.

The PS4 has a fuck ton more games than PS3 and also plays more games at proper frame rate and resolution. There's no reason liking PS3 over PS4. The only shitty thing is the paid online.

Most of those games are still literally PS3 games. It doesn't have a fuck ton more games than the PS3. Just some more. And the better ones just so happen to be the PS3 ones anyway and the rest are also on PC.

Oh no I realized a long time that people don't care whatsoever. Which is why it is depressing.
They'll cry foul when you market a $599 system to their face, but when you lower the price just a little bit but slap on an annual fee that adds up over timeand quickly exceeds such a price tag, they all still just cream in their pants from excitement.
These are the same "normal people" who sold their PS3s the moment the PS4 went up for sale, just so that they could "upgrade". In spite of how the PS4 launched with literally nothing and had no real games for years. With most of the exceptions being literal PS3 games, of which they ended up repurchasing for the PS4 because they sold their PS3.
The same people who looked at the draught of games ans said "Silence is golden" claiming that not knowing everything about the PS4's future was part of its charm.

This is funny when the only wortwhile Switch game is a Wii U port.
