>If a game has "aged badly", it wasn't good in the first place.
If a game has "aged badly", it wasn't good in the first place
who are you quoting?
Someone who's right
It wasn't, you just didn't know any better. Like how all of the N64 games ran at 15fps.
>If a game has "aged badly", the person criticizing it probably didn't play it when it was released
Fixed.
By contemporary standards they were at least passable. People who squirm about games not aging doesn't understand the english language or are just trolling.
No.
prove it
I am pretty sure this pic is shopped. Her feet are tiny compared to her ass
by definition for it to have "aged badly" would mean it HAD to have been good in the first place.
a game that is initially bad is bad forever, literally nobody ever said bubsy 3d "aged poorly"
We’re talking about video games, not bloodletting, OP.
"game aged badly" just means "your perception of games and what they should do and what the limitations are" changed.
The game stays the same but everyones view on games did not.
Fucking retarded frogposter.
>"hey sis mom says come down for di-"
>BRAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPTPFFFFFFFFFFFPTFFFFFFFGGGGGGGT
Look at something like Lord of Destruction. Everything about the game at the time was lauded, but half the shit in it would be harshly criticized now (shit gameplay where you just spam one move, Skinnerbox, no endgame, shit enemies and bosses, loot > skill, etc).
LoD gameplay got increasingly worse by juxtaposition as newer ARPGs and even action games came out.
Thief 1 and 2 have aged pretty badly yet they're still the greatest stealth games of all time. In fact a lot of early 3D games fit int this category of "aged badly. Nearly every single game on the first Playstation has "aged badly" does that mean there isnt a single good game on the console? You can dislike some of the techniques used to create a game which were limited by technology at the time and it can definitely detract from the overall experience becuase your expectations nowadays are higher, but that doesn't mean that the game overall cannot be good.
anyone who says games can't age is an underage retard who has probably played a total of 10 video games in their entire life, or a literal brainlet that doesn't understand that technology and game design can progress with time.
nah, she just fat
videogames don't age, you idiots.
>retard who takes anything literally
...
This is true only when 'aged badly' refers to game design decisions rather than performance/graphics
>retard who takes anything literally
This isn't wrong though.
I wanna agree with this, but I don't see how someone could go back to Goldeneye and not find the controls to be awful
>He didn't play with Turok controls
I'm so sorry.
