It's weird. They showed off working game two years ago, but we don't have a release date now. They said they wanted a beta in the end of 2016.
I don't know what's going on. The most possible situation is feature creep. They've finished basics, but keep adding new stuff, like the captain mode, which to me looks like was added after main game was complete.
