What is it about AssCreed 1 that feels better than 2? Maybe it's just that the world feels bigger, in spite of most of it being empty? I dunno, I've just always appreciated it even though the next several games improved on a lot of things.

Not only is the series dead, it's remains has been launched into a black hole effectively rendering any re-release or sequel utterly hopeless.

Mine aren't particularly obscure but the posts I quoted were mostly composed of games generally held in extremely high regard on Sup Forums. I suppose I could've been more tactful, but I'm not really judging anyone's taste. I feel some of those types of posters both here and in 3x3s tend to focus more on appealing to Sup Forums rather than being honest about what they like, especially since more obscure picks are bound to draw less attention.

No, I'm referring to the british 60s spy setting. The gunplay is mediocre, the stealth sucks, and having to do a training mission after every main mission was a terrible idea.
That's an understandable thing to think, which might be partly why I hate 3x3s. I think those get more traction and therefore attract the biggest board-culture circle-jerking.

I respect your opinion, but I think you might've missed the spirit of the game. It's a bit of a mess, sure, but it's a campy comedic work. I play it sheerly to be charmed, and if truth be told I never recall being dissatisfied with the gameplay in the least. Some of my most engaging challenges in vidya have taken place in that game.
