Honestly I don't think Nomura is a bad character designer by any means, but he has a lot of sameness in his work. More than other designers it's really clear what his favourite thing at any given time was, and when he developes a silhouette with fashion choices he tends to use the same clothing and accessories to make the same silhouettes. He seems like the type to sit down on one idea and iterate until he gets completely sick of it and then he moves on to another, single idea. Again I don't really think this is a bad thing, but it's probably where a lot of the dislike comes from.

Fenrir was a standard double-sided key. This one is based on an internal-cut key, those are used for cars mostly.

The new song gets some getting used to to fully appreciate it, because it's not as immediately catchy as Simple and Clean or Sanctuary. It's not a bad song.

it's not even about anime people, the FF characters are mostly useless and completely disposable or replaceable with the exception of maybe Leon Yuffie and Cid because they actually do story-related shit in 1 and 2. I havent played FF9 so i cant give specifics as to why Vivi was apparently dont wrong, but Setzer from FF6 and KH2 seemed like 2 totally different people. I think its the same for Vivi as well, but as i mentioned before, i didnt play 9 so not sure exactly

I think the only ones who got 100% carried over are probably Zack and Aerith. Everyone else got more or less toned down or changed a little. That's what you get trying to insert characters into a completely different game than the ones you know them from.
