That is why you get a plot that is far away from other plots. The upper, non beach row of limsa is amasing since most plots are alteast a little bit appart and no amount of shitty houses can ruin your view.

Yoshida did mention that he is planning to drop 32-bit/DX9 support, but just asked people to stop using them by themselves for the rest of Stormblood (it's really hard to remember all the sources of these comments because Yoshida loves to do interviews with fucking everyone, even that fan-made FFXIV magazine, where he mentioned unique rewards for his upcoming "super savage mode" idea, and other stuff that never left his ideaguy's mind).

The writers are so baffled with how to make the Scions interesting that they just kill off the ones that aren't popular. Thancred is the most popular male, and Ysh is the most popular female, so they will remain just fine, but the rest got axed pretty hard. Yda can't even be said to have made it, since she's more or less a new character now with the stormblood reveal.

They screwed themselves wanking the player character so much. Now you by story design have to do all the heavy lifting on your own, so none of the NPCs get to have plot significant moments. Might as well just give them pom-poms and have them cheer lead you, for what they are worth. Didn't have this issue in a certain other Final Fantasy MMO.

I just use my house as some kind of special gil sink. The gil you sink in that isn't completely lost and you can use it to chill alone or with friends, I guess.
