I just got to Gold E yesterday but fuck was it tedious the fun stopped at Silver C or so.

I tried to like it, but the 3vs3 kills it for me. It is just too frustrating to constantly lose because some idiot is gets picked of 3 times in less than 1 minute.

Lobbies allow for any combination, so you can do 1v1, 2v2 etc. The game is much more enjoyable when working together though.

Nigga I hit mythril D with Jecht and I do fine so long as my teammates aren't retarded. People still fuck up against Jecht Block at higher ranks so there's no excuse for that shit. Also, Fake Out can be used to sort of combo into an HP attack. You just need Hot Steel.

Most of the time they'll try dodging or guarding immediately after they think you've dropped the combo. Congratulations, you just earned a free hit.

Jecht Cancel (fuck everyone else I'm keeping the original naming convention) can cancel anything, it just only cancels into brave attacks, guarding and dodging. You can even cancel Ex Skills into something else. If people are expecting Jecht Block that means they're either throwing out punishable HP attacks or doing nothing so you can just move in.

Ranked is 3v3.

Lobbies, however (the best mode) can have 1v1, 2v2, etc and have good customization for matches.

That a good idea but I still have trouble with shit like his speed. A lot of times there will be people on my team who flat out leave marksmen do whatever the fuck they want but god forbid I try to close in on a catfag and they just completely outrun you every single time. And jecht block on marksmen is fucking useless

Y'shtola is a problem, yes, so the only thing you can do against her is either wait for her to leave her traps or let someone else distract her and move in. As for literally every other marksman (including Emperor), your dash attack can power through their projectiles. Every time an Ace throws out his card pillar, I just laugh and put him into the wall.

Not entirely. Every successful block, regardless of what it is, reduces Fake Out cooldown by one second. If someone's already dealing with a marksman or if there are none to deal with, go fight a vanguard. They're all melee-heavy so you can use the block to shut them out.

No one should be able to outrun any Assassin. They just plain have higher dash gauges and more speed overall. Keep chasing them unless you don't need to anymore and can go for someone more important.

Good. Now go play as father of the year all years. I used to let the Ramza I regularly team with handle vanguards while I dealt with any assassins, but now I just shit on Clouds and Sephiroths. You might think that the dash attack will lose to Kefka's fake crystal or Terra's tornado, but it'll work.

I was going to main Cecil but I tried Jecht in the open beta since he wasn't available during the closed one and he immediately clicked.

The only other advice I can give is to watch out for anyone with a counter HP attack. It's especially prevalent with Bartz and Terra. When you pursue them, they'll usually bait you into attacking and throw out the HP attack. Just be patient and hit them once it goes down. It works just about every time on Terra if she's got Riot Blade.

Best character is obviously going to have best moments.
