We have teams like BioWare, with their parent company throwing millions upon millions of dollars on their projects, hundreds of developers more working non-stop crunch time, we have Ubisoft which gets 90% of their game assets from Chinese asset farms at 20% of the cost, our studios have some of the best talent in the fucking world and we end up with shit like Assasin's Creed and Mass Effect Andromeda, while a couple of half drunk Slavs shits out a fun game that is a blast to play. How? Why? I don't get it how do they do it?!

This fucking game cost less than 5 million dollars to make, you can't get facial animations in Andromeda for that price and look what we ended up with.

West slavs are in EU and have access to the same education all EU citizens have. So there should be no difference in terms of talent pool, but it is available at a fraction of the cost.

The same way Mafia1 is compared to GTA. It's smaller scale, more autistic and realistic and more story driven. Some mechanics are brilliant some are janky, but overall at least it feels fresh. Also best alchemy, actually feels like you're doing chemistry experiments
