>many people complain that the controls are bad and jump is full commitment

hmmmmmm

>jump is full commitment
>bad

>very limited control and forced slow gameplay
>good

Because they are turboshitters who are bad a videogames.

So? The platforming isn't very tricky. The puzzles are the focus.

I don't have perfect air control and I can't adapt to not having it! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

i might be retarded but ive only ever seen one turbo-autist shill la-mulana

>confused about why v would shill an esoteric game with garbage controls
This is literally the *only* reason why DS1 got popular.

the game is very easy to find, you could've just pirated it and said it yourself instead of literally relying on hearsay to make a thread

Can make the same argument against games using gravity too

>Sup Forums is the world

Jump commitment was a staple of Classicvania. What's the problem?

I beat the game and want to say it sucks

It's impossibly cryptic and vague, the translation leaves a LOT to be desired when the riddles are obvious in Japanese and fucked in English.

There's nothing wrong with commitment you nihilistic edgelord.
Maybe if you took it seriously you'd find a partner who loves you and live a happy life instead of shitting on video games others like to fill the empty void inside of you.

I JUST started the game, right now I'm trying to find a way to read the text that's in a different language. I heard the game is difficult without a guide, is that true?

It's fine, although it takes, say, half an hour of getting used to. Try it out! The controls will be the absolute least of your concerns, so come here if/when you need help.
Are you La-Mulanafag?

>I heard the game is difficult without a guide, is that true?
its a difficult game yes but you dont need a guide, you just need to take notes and think, thats part of the fun of the game.

it would be a bit like playing monkey island with a guide, in that you might as well just sit through a lets play instead.

retard

Eh, I think using a spoiler-less guide is okay if you're banging your head against a wall. I completely understand not wanting to use them, but I myself am okay with receiving an extra (still-cryptic) hint in that situation.

You can buy a translator back in town. It should be your first purchase.

I think it's scanner --> translator --> YAGOO(tm) map reader
