I really like sailing as a solo sloop I find the same enjoyment I got when playing No Man's Sky, some people think it's hard because you can easily get destroyed by a galleon but you just need to be careful and run away from fights. the sloop is so fast I got 11 chests alone

it literally say Xbox CONSOLE exclusive also 1/3 of the playerbase during the beta was on pc. if you're skeptical you can always try out the Xbox Gamepass trial and play it for free :^)

galleon will catch up with the sloop if you have wind with you, other than that, the sloops are damn slippery. Played solo as well, just sailing in that game is so fucking comfy

They're indeed sloppy but they have a huge advantage in combat due to how fast they can steer and go away, I tried the galleon a couple of times and didn't really enjoyed my experience due to how slow and more teamwork based it is

Yea me and my friends experienced something similar, sloop just turning and going against the wind = no chance for galleon to catch up.
Just playing the stress test, for the first time since D3 im looking forward to a release, shits gun be good.

The difference between a 50 gold chest and a 400 gold captain's chest is fucking nothing when the only things to buy is cosmetics, ship cosmetics, and when you become a pirate legend its just more cosmetics.
How about a ship with no cannons but is much faster and used for boarding/ramming? A gun with less ammo but faster reloads? Fucking SOMETHING. They've known about the dogshit respawn system too but its staying in for launch

You can customize ships but we still don't know how much they can affect them plus you can unlock the "pirate legend" ship as "end game goal", I don't see your complain about chests not being worth a lot because you can have voyages that gives you over 4 chests per island, I played solo during most of the Stress Test and bought every weapons,equipments and cosmetics I wanted without issues.
I agree with the guns and ramming aspect though these things could be nice upgrades rather than purely visuals.

I'm actually pretty excited for the game. Been playing the technical alphas for a few months now and I still haven't got tired of sailing in it. But as far as actual gamey content there isn't a lot and I can see a lot of people getting bored with it quickly. Especially for 60 USD it just doesn't seem worth it. I hope the last play test has all the content that they've been holding back. The kraken has me hyped af

Luckily the game pass can be a great alternative to save money if you don't care about buying it but the price tag had to be expected since it's a first party title, maybe it will go down in price like literally every Ps4 exclusives
