So when's the next game? 2016 sold like gangbusters.
Ratchet and Clank

What if that was a soft sendoff for the franchise?
not anytime soon when spiderman is a thing
>major game development studios can only ever have one game in production at once
hopefully never if it'll be just as shitty as the last one
...well yeah thats how it works nowadays.
>shitty
I'm sorry what
By this logic all the other games in the series are shitty, the gameplay is fucking identical
It really shouldn't be but that's how it seems. Insomniac does have 2 studios, one in Burbank which is working on Spiderman and a studio in North Dakota which I believe does VR junk at the moment. iirc the North Dokota campus was behind Into the Nexus. Who knows though, maybe North Dakota is working on something (maybe an R&C game, or possibly Spyro?)
>People actually liked 2016
Fucking how
Either way I hope they leave it be, the classics are fine the way they are and anything more added will just lead to stuff like Future again
>implying Crack in Time isn't the best game in the series
shame on you

crack in time was great though?
I've seen this video a while back, IIRC he doesn't say anything about the gameplay, just goes on an autistic rant about how the characters don't make sex jokes anymore and how Ratchet isn't a douche (which people forget is actually an unlikable trait which he largely abandoned after the first game anyway)
Oh its was still a enjoyable game for sure and the humor was still there, likewise with A Crack in Time but the writing was a clusterfuck and started to take itself a little too seriously while also toning down as a more edgy series.
When I meant like "Future again" I meant it'll just not really work in a lot of aspects, and I believe if you want good gameplay then the others are always there to replay.
The remake was a indication of this in which it tossed everything out of the window other than most of the base gameplay.
Why would you compare 2016 to A Crack in Time?
I agree with though, in part since his point is more "a character blowing people up needs a little edge" is true.
The themes and characters of the new game clash massively with the old. The new games have no edge, humor or soul which I think is his main point, it's all polish.
Also
>30fps
Since I see it as the last game where the main creative force came from Insomniac rather than Sony who fully controlled it for the remake due to the movie.
It's not even the same writers, so by comparing them I'm trying to separate them.
>last game before remake
>what is Into the Nexus
Were you just talking about 2016? Because the writing in ACIT is the best in the series.
Yes, I might not like the direction ACIT had gone in but it was still great.
2016 on the otherhand.
Shit I forgot about that one, most likely due to the fact I missed it.
Does Insomniac have anything to do with Spyro anymore?
he literally spends like 20 minutes listing
>all the cut content including entire levels and memorable segments such as giant Clank
>garbage generic danny elfman music
> terrible sound design (including repeat context sensitive phrases)
>missing gadgets and therefore mechanics
>worse level design
>terrible cutscene animations, lifeless faces and awkward cuts
And that's far from all
>character is a douche
>he's not anymore in the second game
It's called character development you fucking retard
if a character starts as a douche and becomes gradually more of a good person that is a GOOD thing.
>30fps

You never even played the original game, did you?
I feel like we have to wait for a second movie before a second game.
>you never even played the original game, did you?
I've played every game in the fucking series, including the shitty spinoffs and the one on PSP, so I'm very well disposed to comment, asshole.
