Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus
So what is this, FPS, RPG, RTS?
yeah but what type of game is it?
looks like Bulwark Studios does mostly strategy RPGs
can we get a game where we don't play as the Imperium please
...
games workshop is incapable of making good videogame licensing decisions lately. im not hopeful desu
I'd love a Dark Eldar game.
>Mechanicus
boring
>Adeptus Mechanicus.
Welp, another WH game I'll have to pass on.
Whatever happened to this?
Admech's my favorite, hope it's good.
Still in development, to be released "soon" if I remember correctly.
Yeah. Looks like it's currently in early access on steam. I had totally forgotten about it until I saw this thread.
>In Warhammer 40K: Mechanicus, players will take control of one of the most technologically advanced armies in the Imperium – The Adeptus Mechanicus. As Magos Dominus Faustinius, players will lead the expedition on the newly rediscovered planet of Silva Tenebris.
>Players will be able to manage resources, discover long-forgotten tech, plan tactical operations using the Noosphere technology and control their Tech-Priests every move. As the game’s description reads, every decision players make will shape the missions ahead and ultimately decide the fate of the troops under their command.
Will you be able to upgrade your troops with cyberdongs?

Thread theme.
>betraying the grace of our lord the God-Emperor of Mankind
>the Adeptus Mechanicus is the same thing as the Imperium
They are Billions 40K version?
turn based mobile game, looks like.
>tfw GW will never give the 40k license to any dev that's worth a shit
Filthy Tau scum.
death to the false emperor
Seriously. And fuck anyone who says firewarrior, that game was absolute trash. I want GOOD non imperium game.
Yeah, lets use even more unknown lore and factions, because they did not misrepresent enough with all the games about space marines.
I cant wait for generic fabricator-general bruce action-man crafted of die-cast metal and plastic, huge on features! Highly poseable with an impressive 25 points of articulation, 3 interchangeable faces, and battery-operated light-up LED eyes. He also comes packed with multiple swords, shield and stand accessories, so you can create endless unique poses for the ultimate in Adeptus Mechanicus Force expression.
...
It's gonna be shit
they should just make a Total War 40k already and forget about all of the dodgy WH shooters that never ever turn out well
>tfw too much of a brainlet to play that amiga/dos deathwing game
Who hype for Deathwing enhanced edition?
The sp in the base game was sick if a bit short looking foreward to what they might add for multiplayer
>Yeah, lets use even more unknown lore and factions
>Admech
>unknown
is this bait
which one is considered more technologically advanced, the adeptus mechanicus or the tau?
the smurfs dont seem to have a ton of augmentation technology
woops, i meant the blueberries, i forgot the ultramarines are the smurfs
>Another 40k game
>No gameplay just a teaser
>Have to wait a year before we see gameplay footage
yaaaaawn, getting real tired of this shit with Warhammer games. Make a new thread in a year when gameplay footage gets releases, thanks.
On the one hand I agree with you, because Dawn of War 3 was a shitshow.
On the other hand, TWWH and its sequel are pretty solid cashcows.
Alpha is available i thinks.
The Tau are an incredibly young race, and their technology, while different, reflects this. Gold age of exploration of mankind tech would blow the whole setting apart if the stuff could ever be recovered. Even a ton of 30K stuff was lost during the heresy.
Necrons > Eldar > Mechanicus >Imperium/Tau
The imperium have access to some neat shit but the taus stuff is considerably safer and they can tinker and alter with their stuff
Imperium ships from the Golden Age are secretly OP, but require unleashing the advanced machine spirit within (which is heresy) to do all that good stuff.
Human tech at the height of humanity blows the Eldar out of the water .
I thought that the only reason humanity doesn't progress because they are too autistic to unleash the AI's who fucked humanity whole once. I can understand the sentiment, but should really worry about that when shits going down/
It's incredibly difficult to protect AIs from the predation of the Warp.
Would be good.
whch doesnt explain why neither the necrons nor tau AI get corrupted
Tau don't really use the warp, and Necron aren't AI.
Story driven single player turn based strategy RPG where you can customize your party of characters with new pieces of tech and has narrative choices that affect the ending in the vein of Bioware style games
>Tau don't really use the warp
why would that stop chaos from corrupting machines tough
when the men of iron got allegedly corrupted by chaos mankind wasnt really worshiping the dark gods
I dont know but it's hard to explain. Mankind's machines all have "souls", are inhabited by the so called Machine Spirit that the Mechanicus worships, and Chaos feeds on souls. But the reason that Chaos ignore the Tau almost entirely because their souls are so tiny they barely make presence in the Warp. The Necrons for comparison have absolutely soulless and immune to Chaos.
This is going to suck badly. With an IP like 40k, you need at least 3 million dollars of budget to make it even decent and avoid the early access hell and the problem is that no big AAA dev is willing to touch it because it's sales poison to anyone who touches it due to the games' reputation with shovelware. It's really an unfortunate self fulfilling prophecy.
Welp here I go reading W40K lore for a couple of days again thanks.
He's dying you know?
Stop reading bolter porn already. At least read some Cain battle-comedy
I didn't even think tau made their own guns. I thought I read that they buy them from somewhere.
Is an Eldar dating simulator too much to ask for?
You know that 40k Eldar are probably similar to Divinity Original Sin 2 Elves than they are to Warhammer Fantasy Elves right? They're lanky as hell
...
>tfw WH40k lore is so cool but don't know where to start
help me
Mankind's machines get corrupted because their machine spirits are souls. Souls with a stronger warp presence than that of the Tau (excluding ethereals). Tau use actual AI for their tech which makes them just as immune to chaos corruption as they are. Its why there are Chaos titans and shit, its not just the pilot going over to chaos, the machine spirit (which gets considerably smarter the larger the machine) is deciding to go over as well. There's a short story about a chaos marine going up and killing a dark mechanicus titan pilot after said pilot stepped onto his rhino. Said rhino was as old, if not older than him and was fully sentient by that point, not even possessed by daemons. Human AI is so advanced that it can be considered as a friend.
Its rarely ever depth, most of the time its just breadth. Pick an angle you like and start learning about it from lexicanum or even 1d4chan if need be.
This is all well and good but will it have good sound tracks?
DoW OST was so fucking kino

Is warp the vocal cord parasites/nanomachines of 40K?
They do make them but didn't invent them. They learned from the demiurg.
